Chapter 2: Tag

I chased the boy deeper into the forest.

I stopped, and panted.

"Aww...tired? What a shame...his must'nt be valueble then..."

I glared at him.

His Cheshire Cat Smile was still there.

"Hm." He walked towards me. Getting closer.

He got up close to my face, and smirked.

I snatched the pocket watch he had stolen from me.

"HA! I got it back."

He snickered. "You sure that one's yours?"

He took out a similar one. "That was mine."

He laughed, then ran away.

"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!"

I ran after him, gasping for breath. I tripped on a branch, and fell.

Or so i thought.

He caught me, holding my arm, never wiping that Cheshire Cat smile.

"I dont want you getting too badly hurt..." he giggled and ran away, dropping me on the grassy floor.

I think i saw the smallest tint of red in his cheeks.

I saw a note on my arm, which said,

Dear mam'm, I will return shortly with your pocket watch. Just a never forget...my cheshire smile.

He actually wasnt bad.

But where could've he ran off to?

"BOO!" He screamed, making me jump.

He was invisible the entire time, but i got close to him and took both, his and my pocket watches.

He laughed. He sure likes to laugh alot.

"Alright...tell me your name." He demanded

"Not until you tell me yours."

He turned invisible, only showing that smile.

"Just call me Cheshire." He said.

"Im (Y/N)."

I could see him almost taking the pocket watches, but then i caught him.

"Hm. Very aware, i see."

I smiled in pride, for i just won.

"Oh dont be like that...i also took somthing else from you."

I froze.

"I took the only thing you ever cared about!"

Could he..?

"I took your heart." He snickered and started laughing.

"...huh...?"

"Did you really think i took somthing else? I only take one thing, give it back, and continue the cycle."

He sighed. He looked up at me.

Or should i say down?

"(Y/N), i dont think you can stand a chance here...but hey. If you wanna stay...youre free to do, just that."

Before i could answer, he booped me on the nose, and said,"Tag." Then ran away.

He ran so fast, that i thought i was a sloth compared to him.

He saw my struggle, and slowed down a little.

He saw me gasping for breath.

"Hey...do you need a break..?" He sounded worried.

Why would sombody who tricked me multiple times...ask if i need a break?

"No." I reply.

He turned invisible. He sat me down, and started asking me a few questions.

"How'd you get here?"

"Through the looking glass."

"Why'd you come here."

I would shrug.

"Would you rather stay in this world...than in the boring version of our world?"

I would hesitate, then nod.

He smirked.

"Do you like it here?"

"Depends...i met a rabbit, and well. Things happened."

"Ah...him. He's always late for somthing. He's so paranoid, 'cause he always thinks the queen will take his head. Im able to get away quickly, as you could see."

Me and him chuckled.

"Do you love sombody?"

He realized what he said, then blushed, adding quickly.

"I mean, i dont wanna go out with you. Im just wondering."

I got up close to his face, then booped his nose. "Tag."
