My palms where sweaty as I held onto the paper that would soon change my life. Slowly I opened up the envelope, seeing a white printed paper inside.

I slowly slide the paper out of the envelope and began reading the black printed letters.

"Girl why are you screaming in my house?" I watched as my fathers head poked into my door way, he had a confused look on his face as he looked at me.

"Dad I got accepted!"

His mouth dropped as he stared at me.

"My baby got accepted." A huge smile formed on his face as, his eyes began to water.

"Crystal come get ya Boyfriend he finna cry."

"What he do now?" Crystal asked walking into my door way.

I looked down at her stomach seeing the small bump that she had.

She was five weeks pregnant and was already showing.

My dad smacked his teeth and rolled his eyes as he looked at Crystal.

"Bet get your shit and get out." Crystal mumbled, I watched as she walked away and my dads mouth dropped to the floor.

I clicked the green button and watched as destiny's face popped into the camera.
She looked down at the phone and smiled.

"Girl why you look so happy?" I scrunched my face up, then moved so I was comfortable on my bed.

"Girl you know Trey got me sum."

"Got you what?"

"Girl you wouldn't believe it." Destiny said cheesing into the camera.

"He got me a car, a whole Van for the baby! Like what Trey actually buying me sum is new. He's been spoiling me like crazy."

The phone went blank, letting me know she hung up. I let out a small sigh as my head began to pound.

"This nigga really ignoring me." I mumbled to myself.

I understand the whole his niece was in the hospital, and that maybe he wanted to be alone.

But I'm here, I'm here for him to lean on and let his feelings out. I want to be the person who he can run to when he needs support.

Yet he pushed me away, and is pushing me away.

My eyes began to burn as I held in my tears. I don't understand if I'm being selfish for wanting him here for me when he's at the hospital.

I don't understand if this is wrong.
