The One True King

Vegeta travels to universe 6 and finds out the king of all saiyans of that universe was actually King Vegeta from universe 7!!! In this version, king Vegeta never meets frieza demanding the return of his son and ends up dying. He instead listens to bardock's warnings and unleashes hundreds of blutz wave balls all across the planet, with the help of his elites, and the entire saiyan race stands up to frieza in all their oozaru glory, but frieza just smirks and shoots into his final form almost instantly. "Oh ho ho ho ho ho. You monkeys sure are quite the nuisance, making me use my true form to defeat you. No matter. I'll obliterate you all just the same." Then just like bardock, as frieza unleashes the most massive blast anyone has ever seen, king Vegeta gets sent into a crazy portal by the sheer power of the emperor and ends up in universe 6 in the future instead of the past. He lands on an unknown planet and after being recognized as a saiyan, gets picked up by the galactic patrol and gets dropped off on planet Sadala. He marvels at all that is around him. His race still stands but they're different somehow. He finds that palace and demands that the king tell him everything. He gets promptly thrown in the dungeon for wearing the king's robes as an imposter and waits for his judgement. After telling his story countless times with no one believing him he shuts up and slowly decays in his cell, knowing that the only thing that awaits him is execution... that's when an interesting young saiyan finds him hubbled in the corner of his cell, "I hear you're telling everyone around all these crazy stories. Do you actually believe them?" King Vegeta stirs at the noise coming from outside his cell, "go away. I don't want to be ridiculed again." That's when the saiyan steps closer to the bars and becomes visible to the once proud king. Cabba stands before him, clutching at whatever self control he has to not gasp out loud or show any kind of reaction to seeing the King's very familiar face. This happens after the universe 6 tournament arc. He leans forward and becomes sure of it instantly. This man bears a striking resemblance to his master Vegeta from the seventh universe. This must mean that the ramblings of this lunatic must be true. He really isn't from universe 6. Cabba clears his throat and speaks up, "what is your name prisoner?" King Vegeta sits up at glares intensely at the saiyan, "my name is king Vegeta or at least it was. I guess I must now go by Vegeta instead. My boy would have a laughing fit if he could hear me called by that name." "Your son?" "Yes. He is also named Vegeta after myself. The only thing that distinguished me from him was my title. Now I am nothing but a disgrace..." Cabba's adrenaline spikes as he thinks in silence, "His son is Vegeta... if he's truly from universe 7 then that would mean..." Cabba yells aloud, "Tell me prisoner! You say you are from another universe, but would you recognize your own son even if he would be standing right in front of you?" "Of course I would you insufferable buffoon! He looks exactly like me!" That's when Cabba smiled and said, "Boy Mr. King, do I have a surprise for you, but first we need to get you out of this cell and train you. You're gonna wanna be stronger when you meet him." "Meet who?!" "You'll see... oh and by the way, you're going to be a super saiyan by the time I'm done with you." King Vegeta stares in shock for the first time since his incarceration, "a super... saiyan?!" Time skips to after the Broly movie and Vegeta finds that he has a lot of time on his hands lately. With kakarrot going off to train with Broly every second he gets, he thinks to himself, "maybe i should find a saiyan of my own to train with." That's when he remembers his promise to visit Cabba in universe 6. Vegeta contacts whis through bulma's food offerings and gets him to reach cabba to ask if it's a good time to visit his planet. Cabba jerks from his focus to see a bubble floating in front of him with whis and Vegeta inside it. "Master! I haven't heard from you in a long time! How are you?" Vegeta stares at him with a glare, "I'm fine. How are things on your planet? You said you wanted me to meet your king right? So let's get this over with." "With pleasure!", cabba responds, "oh and master? I've got a surprise for you that you'll never forget." And with that whis cut the connection and shot off into the sky, transporting Vegeta through the barrier to reach universe 6 and planet sadala. Cabba turns around and smirks... "oh you'll be surprised alright... when you meet your father and find that it might not be so easy to defeat him..." As the time rolled on after king vegeta's first landing, he trained vigorously and reached super saiyan and super saiyan 2 within a relatively short time. He had to cut off his tail after an incident of him showing off his oozaru transformation that no one else could do. He decided to try going super saiyan while a great ape and things got out of hand real quick. The area was leveled and the form was determined too volatile to keep so his tail was taken. Immediately, he was angry but didn't resist, finding his new home was worth protecting at any cost. Something about the air and the peaceful nature of the planet allowed him to release the tension backed up by years of serving as king of the saiyans and to just be happy that he's still alive and can fight another day, not knowing what became of his universe and that tyrant that made his life a living hell. As he trained his super saiyan 2 with cabba, a strange force approached that planet that dwarfed any power that could be mustered by the saiyans. That's when cabba thought quickly, "vados might know what to do. Back in the tournaments I told you about, there were saiyans that possessed god ki and could defeat almost any opponent, even gods. She said there was a ritual but I never got the details on how to transform and with this threat, we need all the help the gods can give us." Cabba summoned vados by explaining that he had a saiyan here that could rival the saiyans from her brother's universe if only he were shown how to transform into a super saiyan god. She agrees and flies over just in time to explain the process right as the ship with the enormous, evil power is landing. Cabba nods and goes off to search for 4 other saiyans that could help with the ritual: himself, king Vegeta (who somewhat redeemed himself by protecting the planet rather than destroying it), Caulifla, kale, the current king, and that saiyan that cabba tried to recruit for the tournament of power but couldn't because of an injury. All six saiyans stood in a circle, all agreeing that king Vegeta should be the one to be a god as he was the strongest out of all present saiyans because of his combat experience and no one wanted to challenge his stoic, prideful, and even intimidating aura, not even the king. King Vegeta rises in the air, transforms into a super saiyan god, and destroys this pitiful evil threat that decided to attack his new home. With later training with vados, he managed to combine super saiyan god and super saiyan becoming super saiyan blue. After achieving this form cabba decides to tell him that there is someone in another universe that he would be excited to meet and that he hadn't told him about it because he wanted it to be a surprise. And he thinks to himself he wouldn't know how his master Vegeta would take it either. King Vegeta agrees to meet this person and they both go their separate ways. Cabba gets his call from whis and king Vegeta goes to the palace to reclaim his throne. The same law stands in this universe as it does in his old universe: the strongest saiyan is king. King Vegeta blasts open the door, challenges the king, and fires into super saiyan blue. The king, proud as any saiyan could be, stood up against him in only super saiyan 1. King Vegeta charges, chops his neck, and says, "get this man out of here and all hail your new king." Everyone looked to each other, nodded, and bowed, for their own good. Vegeta approaches planet sadala with whis and meets cabba, "alright I'm here. Where is this king you wanted me to meet?" Cabba smiles, "our old king was defeated by our current king, but I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised at who this new king is." "Fine. Lead the way." Vegeta follows in the air, taking in all the sights of the thriving saiyan community and feels a tightening in his chest, "If only that bastard frieza hadn't come along... we could have still lived on..." They land and cabba stops at the main palace doors, "you sure you're ready for this master?" Vegeta grimaces and grunts, "quit stalling! Show me this king or I'm going home." That's when cabba sighed and said, "okay." He opened the door and the new king and his son slowly met each other's gaze. "You son of a bitch cabba." King Vegeta said, "you brought me not some man but my son! Did you about this all along?!" Cabba looks up at Vegeta and sees his shocked face with his wide open eyes and open mouth. "Of course I did my king. Allow me to introduce Vegeta of universe 7 and Whis the angel of universe 7! "Oh do you two know each other?" Whis asks. Vegeta just stutters, "Fa-Fath-Father?!?!?! What the hell are you doing here?" "I could ask you the same thing... Prince." Vegeta's spine tingles, "well at least someone in the Vegeta family line sits as king of all saiyans in some universe or another, but do you deserve the title?" Vegeta smirks as he's well aware of the law that only the strongest are crowned as king. King Vegeta smirks back, "why don't you come over here and find out." Both go blue instantly and Vegeta doesn't even stop to be stunned at his father's power. He charges in with the intent of a warrior seeking to claim supremacy over another, knowing that being king wasn't really his wish. Only to meet his fists with his father's one more time... they clash and clash and clash again, neither giving up an inch. Both knowing this could go on forever, they got into a familiar stance. "Galick", "Galick", "Gun", "Gun", "FIRE"!!!!! "FIRE!!!!!" Their beams clashed and erupted, blasting both vegetas and cabba through the palace walls while whis stood stood his ground, "oh my." Whis collected all three and sat them next to each other saying, "I had no idea your father had so much potential. I must admit that I'm a bit jealous of my sister now." "Yeah neither did I! How the hell did you get so strong?" "Lots of juice." King Vegeta replied. And all three burst out laughing with whis even joining in on the fun, "say, you wouldn't want to become the destroyer of my universe would you?" Vegeta's gaze shoots over to the king's, "no I think I'd rather stay here and be king over my people and protect them. I will never let another monster like frieza destroy us again." Vegeta smirks and says, "Damn straight." He continues to say, "well father, nice as it has been seeing you again, I've got a wife, daughter, and son I've got to get back to so I'll see you soon." "Yes. I've got to visit you some time and see your family." Vegeta smiles with a light expression, "I would like that a lot... Father." And with that whis says goodbye and takes Vegeta back to earth in universe 7, "well Vegeta, was that everything you hoped for?" "Everything and then some. And I think I can stop obsessing about kakarrot now. It seems I have a new training partner I can strive to overcome." He looks off into the sky, smiling, knowing his father and his race live on and live well in the hands of the one true king. THE END
