Freddie Flintoff Story

Chapter 3

Freddy sighed as he sat beside his ex-girlfriend. He found it to not be awkward surprisingly. It felt like the only time the two of them got time alone together. "So, how have you been?" he asked as they sat by a running stream of water. "Quite well, and you?" she asked him. "I've been doing okay." he told her. She smiled lightly at him. "I'm glad to hear that." she told him. She sighed lightly. "I'm sorry," he started. "I am too," she admitted. "I regret how I hurt you Bree." he told her. She sighed knowing now was the time to come clean about Aden. "I'm sorry for not telling you about Aden, he is your son." she admitted and felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Freddy didn't know what to say. In fact, Bree started worrying when Freddy looked like he hadn't breathed. "Freddy?" she questioned. He looked at her sighing shakily. "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked. "You cheated on me Andrew." she stated using his first name. "You looked pretty cosy with her too! and would you have really believed that Aden was yours?" she added. "I need to think this through." Freddy stated getting up and walking away from her making her sigh sadly. This was exactly what she thought would happen. Getting up herself, she walked back to camp where she saw Freddy sitting with Barry and Merv like always. Upon her arrival back at camp, the tension between her and Freddy made the camp nervous. They knew something had happened. "Bree, what happened?" Chrissy asked as she went and sat with Chrissy, Lauren, Maureen, Joel and Anna. "I confessed." Bree admitted. "I told Freddy that Aden is his son." she added. Lauren grinned. "I knew he was!" she stated making Bree roll her eyes with a slight smile. "Why aren't you two talking again?" Maureen asked. "He said he needed time" Bree told them as she lay down beside them all sighing. "Julia, Chris, i know you can hear me! Think we could have a cricket set or something?" she asked loudly. "Oh god, he got her into cricket!" was heard from Tyson. Joel laughed then sighed dramatically. "It's so cute though!" he stated. "He taught her cricket." he added. "Please tell me your first date wasn't a cricket match." Tyson stated with a groan. Bree laughed. "Actually it was." she told them. "Oh mate..." Merv said as he shook his head. "You showed her how shitty of a cricket player you were first date?" he joked. Just as Freddy went to retort, Bree threw in, "Actually no, he showed me how sucky the Australian team was." she stated before throwing in "Even though I hate cricket." both Merv and Freddy pretended to have been wounded by that. "Aww come on Bree, you ended up loving it." Freddy threw in. Merv took the opportunity to throw in. "You did stay with his pommy ass for like 4 years after." He joked. "What can I say?" Kristy smiled. "I was in love with him." she added making Freddy frown lightly. there was no doubt that she still loved Freddy or that Freddy still loved her, they were just both in denial. Bree sat thinking of what life could have been like if Freddy and her hadn't split up,  he could have been there for the birth of their son., when she felt someone lay their head on her lap. Looking down she saw Josh laying there. "Hi mumma Flintoff." he joked as she smiled weakly and started stroking his hair like she would with Aden when he was falling asleep on her lap. "Well..." Freddy started as he got up. "Time to find out what my challenge is." he said before starting to walk off. "Bye Freddy!" they all said as they did their usual parting. Bree and Joel stayed where they were. Watching him leave, Bree sighed. "It'll be okay Mumma Flintoff." Joel told her as she playfully slapped him. "Stop calling me Mumma Flintoff." she scolded as the camp laughed.  "So, Mumma Flintoff huh?" Barry asked with a smirk. Bree rolled her eyes. "Don't even bother." She told them. "Aww but it suits you" Joel said sadly. Bree shook her head. "Just don't." She said trying to contain her blush.
