Deans pov:
"I thought you said she was fine." I said to Cas a bit too strongly than I meant it but I was angry, he left me with nothing to go on where he was or what he was doing, not to mention it happened right after I had the guts to tell him how I really felt about him...And then he just shows up, no warning, and doesn't even bother asking if i was okay or how i was doing.
"She is, its just the shock and adrenaline mixed with the hormones aren't good for her health, or the baby's. But she will be fine" he says with some kind of determination while he hovers his hand over her body that's lying on Sam's bed. Sam went to get some 'food'. But I'm pretty sure he just wanted to leave me and Cas alone, knowing that I should talk to him but wont while he's in the room.
"So uh Cas?" I start rubbing the back of my neck, this is gonna suck.
"Yes Dean?" He looks at me for the first time since he got here.
"Um where did you go, when you uh, left, where did you go, why did you leave?" I ask he takes a deep breathe and turns back to Sirens body. He doesn't do or say anything, just stands there for a few moments. Then he speaks,
"I am truly sorry about leaving Dean I just....had stuff to do. Things i had to take care of" Really? Stuff to do. Wow.
"Is everything okay?'' I shrugged not really interested but wanted to know if it was worth leaving me feeling rejected.
"Yes, for now. But Dean," He started and turned back to me
"There's something big happening, and while i know its deeply serious i cant really tell you at this moment." he said. I stood up from the chair i was sitting in and got maybe too close to him.
"Why?" i asked knowing that if i could scare him enough he might just tell me.
"Its too dangerous" he said simply. It was at this moment that I was close enough to see a small scar close to his left eye. I lifted my hand to touch it and Cas flinched when my fingers got too close.
"What happened?" I asked in a softer voice. He turned away so he wasn't looking at my face.
"Nothing worth mentioning." He said, still refusing to look at me.
"Please look at me" I put both my hands on his cheeks and he turned to me.
"What'd they do to you?" He didn't speak, just stood there with my hands on his cheeks. Suddenly we heard Siren roll over and groan in her sleep. Cas moved from my hands and turned to Siren. She was awake now and Cas helped her sit up.
"What happened?" she asked rubbing her head.
"You passed out in the backseat of Dean's car." Cas answered
"Where are we?" she asked
"Were safe, that's all you need to know." I said sternly
"Ill go get you some water" Cas kind of whispered and left the room, probably wanting to get away from our conversation. Why does he always leave before fully answering my questions? I sat next to Siren on the bed.
"So do you know how to get in touch with your boyfriend?" I asked, getting comfy on the bed next to her.
"Well I know his number, that's about all I can do." she shrugged; I nodded and got out one of the many phones that I have and handed it to her. She dialed some numbers put the phone to her ear, she bit her bottom lip as she nervously waited for an answer. She slumped into the bed disappointingly when she got a robotic voice telling her to leave a message. She handed me the phone back and at that moment both Sam and Cas walked through the door. By this time I had totally forgotten about Cas' scar.
"Hey, your awake." Sam smiled and came over to his bed.
"How are you doing?" He asked with sincerity in his eyes, she smiled,
"I'm doing okay. Just have a little headache." She looked up at him.
"How's the baby, does anything hurt?" He asked, she chuckled. I think they totally forgot that me and Cas were in there.
"From what I can feel, he's okay." She looked down at her very small bump.
"He?" I looked over at Siren wondering how she could tell.
"Oh yeah, I've only been pregnant for two months, but I strongly believe it's gonna be a boy." She smiled a bit brighter with the talk of her soon-to-be baby, so I kept her talking.
"Do you have any names in mind?" I asked, by this time we were all gathered around Siren. With me sitting with my body lined up next to hers, Sam sitting in front of her crissed-crossed legs with his legs hanging off the bed, and Cas sitting at the foot of the bed in front of me.
"Well I want to name him Arsen Golan, but he's set on having a girl, so Alessa Gwen is the name he picked. Either way the initials will be A G S." She said pretty proudly.
"What is your last name? I don't think you ever told us." Sam asked, he sure is full of questions tonight.
"Storms." She smiled
"That's very beautiful." Sam said
"Well thank you." they were kind of just staring at each other. I coughed to get there attention.
"I think I'm going to bed. Cas wanna come with?" then I realized how that sounded, but tried to play it cool.
"I mean not with me but, you know, in your own bed...." I stood from the bed and so did Cas.
"Goodnight you guys." I said as I walked out the door and I walked into my own room. I got dressed into PJ's and got into my bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
