(Morgan's POV)

Imagine living in the midwest. The smell of manure and the sight of field after field which gets boring after a while. A place where the only "fun" thing to do is either go to Walmart or stay in and watch Netflix alone.

Well that's the sort of place I used to live at least until my parents got divorced and my dad moved on. Now we're moving roughly 36 hours away to California to live with his new fiance and it's not like I mind but I don't like the thought of living closer to my ex.

Weird right? My ex lived 36 hours away and we made it work and visited each other until he started giving up on everything like his job, college, and me. That's all besides the point though I guess.

"Honey are you listening to me", my dad asks as I sit in the passenger seat quietly.

"Sorry dad I was just in my own little world over here", I say coming back into reality.

"Well we're almost there are you ready to meet your new family", he asks keeping his eyes on the road.

"I mean a little I just don't know anything about them so its a little weird", I answer shrugging.

We pull up to a decent sized house with lots of cars in the driveway.

"Well I guess your meeting the whole crew today", he says concerned.

"I'll be fine dad", I say feeling a little anxious.

I've never been good with large groups of people and that's why I'm homeschooled. I struggled to focus in classes full of pen clickers and people who whisper while I'm trying to learn.

Once the car finally comes to a stop my dad smiles and unbuckles I follow behind him as we walk up to the house. We enter the door and there are people everywhere so I stay behind my dad.

"Oh honey your here", a lady voice says as she approaches us my dad moves over so I can see everyone and to my shock most are familiar faces.

My new step mom was going to be Gina Dallas and I would also have a new brother and sister, Cameron and Sierra. Sierra's baby and her husband Brent were also here.

As I looked around I saw a lot of familiar faces like Hayes Grier, Nash Grier with his fiance Taylor and their son, Taylor Caniff and his girlfriend Carolina, Jack Johnson, Jack Gilinsky, and Mahogany Lox with her boyfriend Carlos.

"You must be Morgan", Gina says hugging me.

"Its nice to meet you", I say smiling .

As she took my dad to the kitchen to finish dinner I just stood there with an awkward face while the other looked at me smiling. They all began introducing themselves and I smile as I warm up to everyone.

The only person in the room that's close to my age is Hayes which makes it awkward in my mind because I'm a child hanging out with adults but I continue to play with Capri and Malaki because I love babies.

"Dinners ready", my dad and Gina yell and everyone starts heading for the huge dining room table.

I sit next to my dad as Cameron sits next to me and Hayes across from me. As we all get our plates I only get a little bit of food and slowly eat it because I don't like eating in front of new people.

After dinner a few board and card games are played and I start bringing my belongings to my room. After a little while Johnson and Hayes ask if I'd like some help. I tell them no but they proceed to help anyways. Once all the boxes are in my room I start unpacking my belongings. I start with my desk stuff as Hayes sits on my bed.

"You don't have to stay in here", I say as I stutter.

"Its fine I want to and what better way to get to know you than to see what you unpack", he says smiling.

I continue to put my things on my desk neatly and then proceed to my awards and medals.

"Ah an acute athlete and scholar I see", Hayes says seeing my awards from my old school and my softball medals.

"I find school easier but I have a passion for softball", I say laughing.

"I used to play sports when I was in school", he says thinking.

"I plan to join a homeschool team for my last year of softball", I say smiling.

"Well if you ever want any help I can take you to the diamond and I can practice with you", he answers smirking.

"Sounds like a date. I mean plan", I say turning red.

I continue to unpack until everything is put away and everyone is leaving.

"It was nice getting to know you", Hayes says smiling.

"You too", I say blushing.

"Here put your number in my phone so we can text and hang out", he says handing me his phone.

"You could always come over to my place and hang out with me and the dogs or we could go to the park or movies", he says as I type.

"Goodnight", I say as he leaves with everyone else.

Today has been so eventful that I haven't even checked my phone that often. As I pull my phone out I see text messages from my ex, a few from everyone who was here in a group chat, and one from Hayes saying he enjoyed meeting me. After doing my night routine I finally get in bed and soon fall asleep.
