Y/n's P.O.V:
As me and Tanjiro walked to the placed were teenage girls were being abducted and eaten by demons, I felt as though Tanjiro would stare at me occasionally.
I ignored it, thinking nothing of the stares, but in reality they really did mean something.
We arrived to our destination, it didn't seem like people could tell I was a demon, the whole situation was explained to us, and we started to hunt for the demon behind the teenage girl disappearances.
When we found them, it turned out there was three demons behind it.
Me and Tanjiro got in a fighting stance, and of course the demons questioned why I was helping a human.
"The answer is simple." I respond. "I want to become human again."
I charged towards the demons, changing my form to look like a cheetah. Even if I was fast, the demons were faster and went under their water quickly.
I growled and transformed back.
The young boy, who was now holding a girl Tanjiro had saved, looked at me in fear.
"Don't be afraid, I will protect you, I promise I won't harm you in anyway...my powers are just special."
"But they said you were a demon!" The boy exclaims.
"..." I was silent before saying, "Yes, that is true, but I haven't ate one single human in my lifetime."
I used my blood demon art and manipulated my blood to become sharp ice blades.
The three demons kept popping out of the ground, and every time I went to strike, they kept going back into the ground.
"Damn they're fast!" I curse out loud.
Me and Tanjiro kept trying to land hits, until eventually Tanjiro was pulled under water.
"Tanjiro!" I shouted, but my worry was taken away after a few minutes, because Tanjiro had defeated all three demons with one single move from one of his water breathing forms.
"Maybe I shouldn't worry about him too much, he seems capable enough to protect himself." I thought, though I was quite disappointed that I wasn't much help.
"It's okay Y/n! You tried your best, even if you didn't defeat them, what's important is that you tried your best." Tanjiro smiled at me after slicing the demon after not getting any info about Muzan. But he still gave the demons a sympathetic look, almost as though he still considered the demons human.
I smiled brightly as he said his prayers to the demons.
"He really is a good person.."
