Rose walked into the study, maybe some exploring would help her. Collect different types of herbs and books to better understand her craft.
Naomi looked up from her books, "What's on your mind Ro?"
"My nights suggested a leap of absence, I am thinking it wise to go, for research purposes of course."
Naomi had always been Rose's assistant, they were fast friends with the desire to learn, and they both had a hobby of gardening which was a cherry on top for the both of them.
Rose gave her a toothy smile, "It will also give you a chance to run our experiments, can't be an assistant forever right?"
Naomi nodded, returning to her book, the spine read, "The Perfect Fertilizer."The two worked for about two hours, but decided to go on a lunch break, Naomi said she had to do something.
Rose on the other hand met up with her knights, waiting for an audience with their ruler, King Wither II.Rose had changed her clothes, her comfy pants and shirt exchanged for a pale green flowing dress. Her eyes covered by a pale rainbow pallet, though seeming impossible, she can see.
Jason and Auram always wore their light, but durable, armor, each in their respective color (Auram's armour is a dark turquoise while Jason's is a dark grey). Jason's blades made an 'x' while Auram's axe rested on his back.
Rose had her brown leather messenger bag laying untouched to her side.
"The king will see you now Lady Rose." The woman bowed her head to show respect, but Rose stayed silent, nodding instead.
The three walked forwards, Jason and Auram stopping midway and bowing on one knee.
Rose continued until she was only a few feet away from the small steps leading to the throne.
Wither seems at attention, ready for a fight at any moment.
Rose bowed her head, "Sir, I request a voyage. You don't need to send any men with me, I will be gone with my knights for half the year. If you accept my proposal of course your majesty."
Wither thought for a moment, then smiled, "I will allow you to take as much time as you wish. I do not wish to keep you here in low spirits."
"Thank you, may I be excused?"
Rose bowed again as soon as he nodded, her composure weakening a bit.
"Wait, you will need a guide, not that I do not trust you, I just want to be safe."
Rose gave an okay before leaving the room with haste, Jason and Auram following with the same speed.Rose started to fold her clothes, just an extra set of clothes if hers got dirty some way.
She stopped to get the door, opening it to see Naomi.
"I got you a 'going away' present, I know it's just for a few months but.."
The girl held out a dark green backpack, a stitched rainbow colored rose on the clasp to close the bag.
"Thank you Naomi! This will be helpful I am sure of it!"
Naomi's expression looked like a villain, but Rose didn't read to much into it.
"Yes, but I do not think it wise to leave."
Naomi walked close to her, "Maybe your precious knights will like the outside world more than they like you. Maybe they will ditch you in your sleep."
She laughed, "But what do I know, the outside world might kill them before they can leave."
Rose looked at her, "Are you okay? Why the sudden hatred for my knights?"
"Just looking out for -my- bestie."
Rose smiled awkwardly, "Okay then, I'll see you around."
Rose got back to work, now getting a few more extra outfits, as well as her sketchbook, a gift from Auram a few weeks ago.
She looked at the time, she had to leave now to meet up with her guide.
Rose grabbed her two bags and placed them on, her sword placed on her back.
She didn't look like the proper lady she should be, Rose decided they would leave without the town knowing.Rose saw a woman, about a year older than her, with super dark, almost black, hair. Her outfit was somewhat casual, she had bluejeans on, her black shirt had the text, "Bryan's Girl" in white on the back.
"Hello, are you Denise?" Rose asked the girl, who looked at her confused.
Another girl, with dirty blonde hair in two buns, snickered.
"This is supposed to be the regal Ro-" She was cut off by Denise closing her mouth, "The girl needs to get out undetected Kayte." Denise looked at Rose.
"Sorry, yes I am Denise, this is Kayte. Do you have nickname we can call you?"
"Ro is fine. We should be leaving soon, Jason and Auram are waiting for us by the gate."
Denise nodded to Kayte."So do you have a weapon other than your 'magic'." Kayte asked.
Rose rolled her eyes, "Yes a sword I created with Jason a while ago, and it isn't magic, I mix things together and get a new thing from it."
Dense sighed, "Kayte please don't make this travel any harder. I already miss Bryan, and it hasn't even been a day!"
"Who is Bryan anyway, best friend?"
Kayte laughed.
Denise blushed a little, "We have been dating for three years, just a week ago he gave me a promise ring."
She held out her right hand, it was an ordinary ring, except it had a sapphire in the middle of it.
"We want to name one of our future children Sapphire, its lovely isnt it?"
Rose nodded.A.N.
