Bain ran down the steps of Ward Wood Middle and quickly zipped up her coat as she stepped into light falling snow.

In Ward Wood it almost always snows, except in summer.

She stepped slowly through the light frozen water.

This was the one thing she could not bear to Sight, weather.

The one thing she didn't want to be in her control, not that anything really was.

She just knew how to handle it ahead of time itself.

Bain stopped walking for a minute listening intently to something regular human ears couldn't hear.

"Hey Bain,"

"Hi Rian, what the heck are you doing out of the house now?"

"I came," Rian shifted awkwardly, blushing hard and reached for my hand, "To tell you something important,"

Bain snapped back to reality.

She could recall countless times of seeing a similar vision in different settings, different forms, but the same thing always happened.

She never wanted to see the end of the vision.

Bain knew if she did, she would be scared to see how hurt Rian would be when she told him that she liked someone else.

Plus, they were best friends.

Wasn't that enough?

Bain continued walking and stopped suddenly, not from a vision exactly, she just had to wait.

This was the exact spot she had stopped when Rian had come up to her in her Sighting.

And he was right on time.

"Hey Bain," Rian said catching his breath.

She rolled my eyes forgetting how on point her visions have become, "Hey Rian,"

He stood up straight and blushed really hard, "So, I-"

"Rian, why don't we get some, uh-" Bain thought quick, she was running out of excuse because this vision and reality happened so often now, "ice cream?"

Rian's blush faded, "But - its snowing?"

Bain's ears were becoming red, "I mean, its spring so, uh,"

The best friends walked slowly to the ice cream shop.

Bain was feeling a tingle in her left leg and stopped to tie her boot and listened to her next vision.

Rian was eating ice cream across from her and was -

Bain almost punched the snow, how many times was Rian going to try today?

What was she doing right?

Rian was opening his backpack and looking for who knows what.

Bain knew what and quickly walked on.

Rian chased after, "So, um, now that we have a moment, I uh," he scratched his head.

Bain was getting annoyed and grabbed his hand and practically ran to the ice cream shop.

Her ear itched and she listened while running,

A kid dropped her ice cream on a boy's lap and he smacked her face and her gum started bleeding.

She let go of Rian's hand and sprinted.

Rian quickly caught up, he was on the track team and went after school to practice, meet or no meet, every day.
