The SCP foundation had picked up a strange anomaly located within the Mariana Trench. The deepest place on Earth. This anomaly was suddenly discovered when a huge burst of energy came from deep within the trench. Most things about the Marian Trench is unknown based on how deep it is and that it is so dark down there, you can't see jack shit.
Not much is known about the Trench and some SCP foundation staff thought of some theories of what it might be that caused the energy surge. Some think that it is a new SCP. Others think that it was just a huge energy wave from an unknown activity from within the trench. But in time, will the theories be answered.
The SCP foundation decides to check out what caused this huge energy to be emitted. They sent an SCP foundation sub with a crew of about three. They have already entered the Trench and have begun their expedition for the source of energy.
Captain: Hows our depth looking Sarg?
Sarg: 8 thousand meters captain and still going.
Captain: How deep is this Trench any way?
Scientist: The Mariana Trench is deep enough to where Mt.Everest will disappear. The Trench is at a depth of about 11,034 meters deep.
Captain: Dame
Sarg: I can't see jack shit. It's so dark down here. Even with the lights, there is nothing around us but darkness and water.
Scientist: Be patient. The reason why it is so dark is because of how deep it is. Not to mention the fact that the Trench is 69 Km in width.
Captain: Let's keep our focus on the task at hand. We are here to find the source of that energy surge.
Sarg: Alright
Time skip
Sarg: We have approached 11,10 meters below sea level. Tracker indicates that the source of energy is a few meters away.
Captain: What the hell is that?
The crew of the SCP sub came across to what appears to be this giant crystal

Sarg: It's glowing green. How is it that this thing is able to not be crushed by the pressure of how deep we our? This is not right.
Captain: You do realize that there is something called SCPs that literally define the laws of nature and physics right? We have a an immortal she Lizard, a living statue, a creature that when you look at its face will go kill you, a--- "gets cut off"
Sarg: Alright Alright, spare me. How are we going to even study this thing?
Scientist: That is the source of energy. We should bring this thing up to the surface. It will be way easier to study on land than 11 thousand meters below sea level.
Sarg: Alright but how do we even bring it up? We can't go out there without being crushed by the pressure.
Captain: The towing cables. We could use the towing cables and raped them around the crystal. Then we can bring it up.
Scientist: That can work. I will handle with the sub's arms
Sarg: I will get ready to launch the cables.
Captain: Now, let's get to work.
The crew went to there stations. The scientist maneds the sub's arms which are like sample collectors while the Sarg handles the cables. Sarg soots the cables then the Scientist used the sub's arms to wrap the cables around the crystal. They then bring the giant crystal up to the surface where it will be transported by a ship to one of the SCP Foundation's facilities.
The first chapter is done. Sorry for a short chapter but the other chapters will be longer I promise you that. Anyway, for the names of the characters in this chapter, I felt lazy and just decided to make the characters call each other Sarg for Sargent and Captain.
