Rorys POV
I ran up the stairs with ease. It was nothing compared to the three miles I ran everyday and sprinting up the bleachers millions of times. I wasn't even breathing the tiniest bit hard as I pushed open the heavy metal door that was marked '5'.
The hallway the door opened up to was nice. It was lined with dark grey carpet and the walls were blue, blending into the sky which peeked through a window at the end of the hall. I padded over to it and leaned against the glass.
The city of London stretched before me like the ocean. I could see little cars and scooters zooming through the narrow streets. Red double-decker buses stopping at corners to let out tourists and locals alike. Would I be a tourist or a local now?, I thought to myself. I began to ponder that thought some more an leaned even heavier into the window.
Suddenly, a 'ding' echoed throughout the hallway. I brought my head up fast, effectively banging it against the glass. I inhaled sharply and quietly, the sound not being heard. I learned the hard way when it comes to crying out in pain. A memory seared across the back of my mind, one of hurt, rejection and humiliation. I blocked it out though, but not before his sickening smile shone bright in my head.
I staggered back a bit as everything hit me full force. I gripped onto the wall behind me. The lads were all laughing and staggering under my bags do thankfully they didn't see my little episode.
Harry stopped in front of a door close by the other window at the end of the hall. He turned a key and swung open the door, everyone following him inside.
I stayed where I was wishing the beginning of that memory hadn't came to mind. Whenever it happened, basically my whole day would be ruined. But today was different. I had moved out of my house to live on my own well, with the "supervision" of Harry. I was going to keep it happy, if by happy then at least a mutual day.
I smiled weakly to myself trying to reassure myself everything was going to O.K.
Harry's head poked out from the doorframe. "Are you coming Rory?" he asked looking at me with excitement in his voice.
Again, I smiled weakly and walked over to him quietly. I knew he could tell something was wrong with me. He always knew. But he wouldn't ask, not here, not now.
"Well I'm here now. " I giggled. "So would this be my place that everyone seems to be enjoying?"
He looked over his shoulder to see four figures sprawled out across two white couches. He laughed and shook his head.
"Come," he beckoned with his hand. "Let me show you your castle."
I laughed quietly at his cheesiness and followed him into the first room which was the living room.
The living room was nice. One extra plush couch, another extra pluck love seat and an overly extra plush chair. The walls were a soft shade of blue which I appreciated immensely. The two long windows on either side of the rather large television were draped in black curtains tying the whole room together.
I let a small scream escape my lips as
I took in the entire room, instantly feeling better.
One by one, the lads slowly turned their heads towards me. I stared blankly back at them not quite understanding.
"Eitheir you're crazy," Louis said standing up. "Or you're just entirely in love with this room. "
I nodded my head quickly, noticing the headache from earlier had finally worn off.
Harry chuckled and came over beside me. "You're such a girl." He muttered.
"Well yeah," I said tugging at my t-shirt. "The last time I checked I was. Do you need me to check again?" Beside me, Harry threw his head back in laughter, him being used to me and the odd things I said. Soon, everyone was laughing except Zayn who's face looked like he got hit in the face with a brick.
