With Jeremy The Movie finished as well as the first episode of Regular Life, I decided to write an Ioni themed episode. Here's the 2nd episode of Regular Life titled "PUPPY!" After the first episode Aftermath, comes an episode about Ioni wanting a dog as a pet with Grayson as her only obstacle. There is said to be a rare blue dog living in the forest that used to be Grayson's home. Rumor has it that if the dog is found, it will go to the person who found it and Ioni wants to go there to reclaim it as her new pet.

Chapter 1: Wanting a pet

It's a beautiful sunny day and it's the perfect weather for outdoor activities. Inside a rented apartment houses Ioni the polar bear cub. She loved looking out the window in the living room to see the amazing things outside. Though she was used to seeing the birds and squirrels outside, something else fascinated her. She saw someone walking a dog outside. She gasped as she saw the dog which was actually a beagle.

But then there were more people with dogs. The dogs came in many sizes, big and small. Ioni eyed a small dog which was actually a Dalmatian puppy. It looked at her and then resumed walking.

Ioni's eyes grew big as she saw the Dalmatian and it made her want to have it as an actual pet.

Suddenly Ioni felt a sharp claw on her shoulder, it was none other than her friend; Grayson the Virginia opossum.

Grayson doesn't consider Ioni as her friend because she hated her with a burning passion. Ioni acted childish and playful all the time. Half the time she normally picks on Ioni and scratches her a lot of times when she gets upset. She had scratched her recently in the face, but it actually healed much faster than before. An infection had set in but it took only a few days for Ioni to recover. The scratch was gone but Ioni's face still started to hurt.

At least Grayson wanted to speak to Ioni instead of hurting her. "You've been staring at the window for a lot of hours," she said. "What were you looking at outside the window?"

Ioni was worried that Grayson might yell at her if she said that she was watching dogs, but then she decided to say it. " I was watching the dogs outside," she said. "And I was wondering if I could get a dog."

Grayson angrily scratched Ioni on the nose and growled at her. "Ioni! You simple minded fool! Why should we get a dog? We don't need one and I can't believe you even asked me if you want a dog!"

Ioni felt the blood on her scratched nose and started crying.

"You didn't have to scratch me," sobbed Ioni. "I just asked if I wanted a dog and you just did that. I was already recovering from the other scratch! How come you're always mean to me?"

Grayson glared at Ioni and said; "That's not your concern," she growled. "You think just because Jeremy is with his brother for bonding, doesn't mean you should go asking for pets!"

Just then Ioni's friend; Shelby stopped Grayson from yelling at her. "You're always mean to Ioni," she hissed. "Why can't you be nice to her? Are you alright, Ioni?" "I guess so," sniffed Ioni. "But I'm hurt."

Shelby examined Ioni's wound and wiped it with a wet washcloth. "It should be good as new," she said. "Now I'll deal with Grayson here." "You thought you could deal with me!" Grayson hissed. "You're sorely mistaken."

Ioni came back to the living room and scratched Grayson on her hind leg as revenge. But then she and Shelby ran out before Grayson could recover.

As they ran outside, safe from Grayson, Shelby looked at Ioni. She began eating the grass outside.

"Ioni," asked Shelby. "You said something to Grayson. What was it?" "I just said that I wanted to get a dog because I saw one outside with an owner," said Ioni. "I don't know why she's so angry at me."

Shelby sighed and said; "She's jealous of you and it puts her in a rage when she sees you being cute and nice. But I won't allow her to hurt you. As for the dog, I could see why she's upset. Those dogs are owned by humans."

"You mean humans are the ones that burned down Grayson's home and family?" gasped Ioni. "Not all humans are like that," said Shelby. "But some do bad things like that. Grayson doesn't understand that there are good people in this world. She thinks that they're all evil. And dogs that are unleashed attack and kill forest animals. She saw them do that while she was still young and with her parents. She hates dogs and humans."

"But where can I find a pet?" asked Ioni.

Shelby sighed again and said; "I knew you were going to ask that," she said. "Of course you can get one. But there is something I need to tell you."

"What is it?" asked Ioni. "Well there was a report that there was a dog that was rejected from the pet store and it ran away," said Shelby.

Ioni's eyes were full of tears. "Where is the dog now?" she asked. "Rumor has it that it lives in the forest that used to be Grayson's home," Shelby said. "And whoever finds it will be the proud owner of it."

"What kind of dog is it?" asked Ioni. "No one knows," said Shelby. "That is the biggest mystery of all. And I'm sure you'll make it a reality." "I'll make it a reality," said Ioni. "I'll be the best owner ever to that dog and show it the love and care it deserves."

Chapter 2 A talk before setting out

Ioni was ready to find the rejected dog and give it a new home in the apartment, but she had to discuss it with a group. She then settled with Chad, Grayson, and Shelby.

Dana did not live at the apartment anymore. She wanted to reconnect with her friend; Hila.

Of course, Ioni was heartbroken because Jeremy couldn't be a part of this conversation and he was going to miss the dog's arrival, but she thought that he'd find out soon enough.

"I've brought you all here to announce that I'll be getting a dog," Ioni said to the group.

"I KNEW IT!" shouted Grayson. "You are a fool! How can you believe that you can get a dog?" "It was rejected by the pet store and now lives it's lonely life in the forest that used to be your home," Ioni said to Grayson.

Grayson's face had softened. "You mean it's by itself?" she asked. "I think so," sobbed Ioni.

"I'm sure you'll find that dog," Chad said to Ioni. "But you should wait until someone goes with you. Then he got his phone out. "I'll call Jeremy to see if that'll make you feel better."

Jeremy wasn't with the group, he was at Country Railroad with his brother. He seemed to be disappointed about something. Something recently that made his gizzard quiver. "I can't believe they hate my episode," he sighed, looking at the rants on his phone. "Even JG hates it."

(Jeremy meant the Regular Show episode, Replaced, which is hated by a lot of people, including J.G Quintel.)

Jerico decided to cheer his little brother up. "Not a lot of people are going to like your episode, Jeremy," he said to his brother. "You need to know how to accept criticism."

But after Jerico said this, a notification popped up on Jeremy's phone, displaying someone who absolutely loved him and his episode.

This gave Jeremy a glimmer of hope. Someone out there loves his episode. "Jeremy fans do exist!" he said cheerfully. But then his phone started ringing. "Chad!" he gasped. He knew he had to answer it. "Hey, man, what's up?" he asked his friend.

"Hey, dude," Chad said to Jeremy. "Can I ask you something? Ioni wants a dog but she needs your approval first. Is that a yes?"

"I'm sorry I can't be there," sighed Jeremy. He was on the verge of tears, realizing that he can't be there with his adopted daughter to get a dog. "Someone has to go with Ioni," he said. "I suppose Shelby should go with her."

Ioni was right next to Chad, listening. But Grayson was also right next to her. "You're going to that forest that used to be my home," she said to the polar bear. "Might as well let me come with you. Ioni?! Are you even listening to me?!"

Ioni's eyes started to sparkle. "Ioni, listen to me!" Grayson yelled at Ioni.

Sparkles began to swirl around Grayson. Did Ioni's eyes deceive her? It was as if Grayson was transformed into a Dalmatian puppy. Ioni was excited to see the puppy and she hugged it.

But the sparkles surrounded the puppy and it was back to being Grayson. "Ioni, let go of me!" Grayson angrily said to Ioni.

Ioni was horrified seeing that she was daydreaming and the puppy was Grayson. "I'll give you 5 dollars if you promise not to speak of this again," she said to Ioni.

Chapter 3: The forest

"This place brings back so many memories," Grayson said to Ioni. They were in the forest that used to be Grayson's home.

Grayson showed Ioni her old home and that she and her family used to live. "We used to live in a wheelbarrow that my parents found in an abandoned woodshed," she said to Ioni. "I was a nice sister to my brothers and other sisters. We lived a good life. But then that forest fire destroyed it as well as my parents and everything in its path. I was the only one to escape."

"I never knew the story about your life was like that before, Grayson," said Ioni. "It's very tragic."

"We both lost our families and are orphans," sighed Grayson. "I got singed and wounded until Chad and his parents took me in and took care of me." "But what happened to you, Grayson?" asked Ioni. "You're awfully mean nowadays."

Grayson sighed again; "Ioni, I need to be honest with you. I'm jealous of you and Jeremy. I can't stand your happiness and kindness. As well as Jeremy, he and I have a complicated history. I can't get over the death of my family and my friend, Gracie and their deaths affected my personality to become wild, savage and rude to others. I lose my temper at times and you're always the victim. Just be glad that I'm not like the murderous Melody. Though we will never speak of this again, it's nice to spend time with you."

Ioni smiled at Grayson. She was finally being nice to her. But she knew that it wouldn't last long.

Grayson looked at Ioni and smiled. It was the first time that they were getting along with no problems. She wished that she could be friends with Ioni but the loss of her family and Gracie resets her mood back to square one. Only Chad, Fio, Dana, and Reggie were the only friends she could tolerate. But she couldn't stand Ioni's vegan diet. She despised Jeremy and Shelby for other reasons. But she despised Ioni more than Jeremy and Shelby. Even though she was trying to be nice to Ioni, she was worried that it wouldn't last.

Ioni then wanted to know why Grayson hated dogs as well, but she was worried that she might get upset with her. "Uh, Grayson, do you hate dogs?" she asked.

Grayson looked up at Ioni and said; "Dogs are the prime enemy to forest animals. Hunters use dogs to hunt animals. I'm just afraid that it might be a huge dog. But there are predators in this forest too, so we need to hide somewhere safe."

So Ioni and Grayson hid in a bush to look out for the dog or any predators. They crouched down and were hidden from sight. All that was on their minds were the predators and the dog in the forest.

It had been 1 hour and there was no sign of the dog or any predators.

Grayson was starting to get bored and then looked at Ioni. "Ioni, how long are you going to keep this up for?" she asked her.

"Grayson, a dog got rejected from the pet store," answered Ioni. "I need to be the owner of it. I must show that I'm the right owner to take care of it."

Grayson was starting to get upset again. "Ioni! I'm not going to wait all frigging day here for a dumb dog!" she snarled.

Ioni cowered down in fear. She was shocked that Grayson had used such language in front of her. That means she was beyond her boiling point.

Grayson started glaring at Ioni until she saw a creature pop out from the bushes. She gasped when she saw what it was. It was a Virginia opossum just like herself! "Wait! Where did you come from?" she asked the creature. "Were you ever a part of my family?"

The creature looked at Grayson and then nodded its head. "I'm afraid I've never seen you before," it said. "My home got destroyed by a forest fire." "So was mine," said Grayson. "I lost my brothers and sisters in the fire and also my parents." "You do look familiar actually," the opossum said. "Are you Grayson?"

Grayson gasped again. It was one of her sisters! "You escaped the fire?" she asked. "How did you survive?"

"I ran away before I got burned by the fire," said the opossum. "You were my sister."

Grayson felt relieved to realize that someone from her family had survived. "I forgot your name," she said to the opossum.

"I'm Ames," the opossum said.

Grayson hugged her sister and started sobbing. "You don't know how long I've waited to hear that name," she sobbed. "You can come home with us. Do you want to come home with us?" "Of course," said Ames. "What are you guys doing?"

Chapter 4: Forest dog

"We're waiting for the rejected dog," said Grayson. "Ioni here wants to get it so she can take care of it."

"Aw Ioni is such a cute name," said Ames. "Are you guys friends?"

Grayson and Ioni looked at each other in disbelief.

"I'm not that nice to her," Grayson said. "We were starting to get along," said Ioni. "Grayson just couldn't function well because her family is gone. She didn't treat me well after I arrived and I'm still afraid of her. But you're one of her sisters."

"You're so adorable," said Ames. "Where are your parents?" "I don't have any parents," sighed Ioni. "My mommy was shot, my dad was sent to a zoo and my brother was murdered by a predator." "Melody," Grayson said to Ames.

Ames looked confused and said; "Then where do you stay?" she asked Ioni. "I stay in an apartment," said Ioni. "I have a new dad. His name is Jeremy and he's really nice." "He's a hipster," Grayson whispered to Ames. "He adopted me after all that," Ioni continued, "I'm waiting to get a new mom."

Ames wanted to be Ioni's friend since the bear cub needed some company and was afraid of Grayson. "I'll be your friend," she said to Ioni. "And I hope that you get that dog that you're waiting for." So she stood next to her in the bushes and hid in plain sight.

Grayson didn't get jealous of Ioni. She was glad that she had a sister again. But as she was about to hide in the bushes, she saw a figure appear in front of her. "What is that?!" she gasped.

The creature came to them. It was revealed to be a Dalmatian puppy, except it was different. The Dalmatian was sky blue and was covered with light blue spots.

"It's a....," stuttered Grayson.

"PUPPY!" screamed Ioni. She ran to it as the puppy itself hugged and licked her face in happiness.

"It's a Dalmatian," said Ames. "I've never seen a Dalmatian like that before. It's a bright blue instead of white. Not that there's anything wrong with it. This is a rare breed of Dalmatian."

"No wonder it was rejected," mumbled Grayson. Ames glared at her. "What are you going to name it?" she asked Ioni. "I don't know," said Ioni. "It needs to be perfect. Wait! There are paladins in the show I watch 'The Magical Godfathers'." Then she looked at the puppy and said; "I'll name you, Paladin!"

"What's a paladin?" asked Grayson. "It means defender," said Ames. "Paladin will protect Ioni from danger. You hear that, Ioni? You have a defender."

Ioni looked at Paladin. "You're my defender," she said and hugged it. Not only did she get a puppy but she also made a new friend. And she did all that with Grayson. Maybe they can be friends. Who knows?
