After years of waiting, the time has finally arrived. I've turned 16 years old just a few weeks ago and now I can go on my pokemon adventure and try to become the champion of the region. Since I was only a small child I've dreamed of becoming the best trainer in the whole region. Today was the big day, my letter from Professor Bamb'o in which he invited my to get my first pokemon. I woke up ealrly in the morning, I couldn't wait anymore to begin my journey. For my surprise, my Auntie was already awake when I went downstairs to eat something. She being awake so early in the morning was very unusual but guess that it was a big day for her to. As I was leaving after I ate, she stopped me:
-Sweetie, wait! I have something for you.
-What it is?
-It is a gift from me and your father. Go ahead and open it!
In the box that my Auntie handed me over were quite a few thing. There was a new pair of sport shoes, a brand new phone, a blue backpack and a letter from my father in which he apologized that he couldn't be there in this important moment of my life and that he hopes to see me soon.
-I am very proud of you sweetie! And I am sure that your mother would be to seeing the young man that you have become. Now, I should't keep you any longer. Say hi to that nice Professor man for me, will you?
With this words said, I hugged Auntie and left for the Pokemon Lab in the far end of the town, near the forest.As I was making my way to the Lab, I heard a familiar voice behind me. It was my neighbor, Theo. Me and Theo go way back, we were friends since a long time, even I was 4 years older than him. He always saw our friendship more like a rivarly, but at the end of the day, Theo was a good kid who wanted the same thing like me, to be the best. His father was a very important person and a very powerfull trainer, reasons why he was able to begin being a trainer earlier than usual, even if he was still a bit childish. Both of us were suposed to recived our first pokemons that day. When we arrived at the Pokemon Lab, we were greeted by Professor Bamb'o.
Professor Bamb'o: -Hey, if it isn't Neill and Theo! You are just in time. Today is a very special day for both of you. It is your first day at work as Field Research Assistants at my lab and your first day as Pokemon Trainers. Your job will have you travelling across Tandor, observing and capturing many different kinds of pokemonto help me with my research on pokemon elements. I have three pokemon here that will aid you in your journey. Before you get your starter, though, you both will take the Pokemon Trainer Aptitude Test.
Theo: - Test?! I didn't study for any test! I thought that we will just chose from some pokemon that you present us!
Professor Bamb'o: - Now. now, don't worry.... It's not the kind of test you have to study for. It's just a way to determine what kind of pokemon trainer you will be and what starter suits you better.
Theo: - In that case, let's be over with this test already!
After a brief test, the Professor presented us with the results of our tests and the corresponding starter.
Professor Bamb'o: - Neill....You seem a trainer who won't hesitate to go for what you want, guiding yourself in battle after the saying ,,the best defense is a good offense". For a trainer like you, Raptorch is the best pick!

Theo: -What about me Professor??!
Professor Bamb'o: - Theo... You certainly know what you want out of life. You are impulsive, impatient but I can sense in you a great potential! The best pick for you is Orchynx!

Theo: - Awesome!
Both of our pokemon were still very small and only knew three moves each, but the second me and Raptorch looked into each other's eyes, I felt a deep connection between me and him. After a few words of wisdom from the Professor, as me and my new partner were leaving, Theo stopped me outside the Lab and challenged me to our first pokemon battle. The second our pokemon got out of their pokeballs, Theo's Orchynx started running around so fast that it was hard to keep up with him. Even Raptorch had a hard time keeping up with his speed, Orchynx managing to land a few Scratches on Raptorch until, he hit by mistake a fence nearby and give Raptorch the time to land an Ember that totally destroyed him. After losing the battle, Theo ran back home. I went after him to see if he was ok. Back at his home, i've met with his father, Cameron. He asked me about what has happened with Theo, and after I explained him every thing about the battle we had, he apologized on the behalf of Theo and asked me to keep an eye out for Theo on my journey. With those said, he gave me my very first PokeDex to help me keep track of the progress I''ve made for the Professor and also my training progress with my pokemon.
The day flew so fast, I found myself in the evening going home with my little new friend. I didn't even ate that night and went straight to bed, even if I barely slept that night due to the excitement of the following when I would start my adventure in the world of pokemon.
