Your embrace lingers on my mind like
A fingerprint on a cool wine glass,
Or the last sweet kisses of autumns falling leaves.Your lips have touched my skin like
Rain speckles glass window panes,
And snow freckles blushing cheeks.Your eyes, I have seen them crave me,
I watch them devour me in a crimson lust.
But I have also seen a certain child-like delight,
A delicate wisp of innocent love.Your arms find me,
They wrap themselves carefully around my waist in a
sensitive and secure embrace,
Easing me into a gentle sleep.
They have stirred my emotions
Like crashing waves in an overwhelming sea,
The powerful beating of colliding hearts,
And yet I find my eyelids grow heavy in your warmth.I am consumed by your being,
The entirety of who you are
Is my relentless and brutal addiction.
Every fiber of you,
Every bone and vein and beat of your heart,
Every secret and story and sadness,
Every touch, kiss, glance and yawn,
It consumes me.
And I lay here
at 12:52 in the morning,
Still thinking about you.
