Waiting.

Waiting was the hardest part.

Earlier that evening, they were talking and laughing like a family. After, Lili had done the dishes and got Timmy ready and in bed. She seemed fine. But looks could be deceiving.

Her water had broken. Collapsing, seizures wracked her body. Jake heard her fall, and he panicked. When he had found her, she was no longer breathing. He immediately called 911.

And now, he and his son were waiting.
