"Luna Sullivan." I looked up when I heard my name being called by Ms. Neil. When I made eye contact with her she said, "Come here for a moment," I walked to her desk leisurely. "I just received an e-mail from your counselor and asked me to send you to her office right now. Are you done with the work?"

"I just have a couple of more questions." I lied to just get out of here. I was so lost. I wasn't even past the third word problem.

"That's fine. You can finish the rest for homework. Get your things and I'll write you a pass."

My knuckles gently knocked on the door. "Come in!"

I slowly strided in the small, squared room. Everything was everywhere. I'm surprised I found a chair in the heap of mess. "My name's Luna Sullivan. You called for me in Ms. Neil's class."

"Oh yes!" The frail, energetic woman rummaged through some files and eventually found what she was looking for. "Luna it says here in your file that you only have half a credit of P.E." She looked up at me through her thick rimmed glasses sliding down her thin nose.

I cocked my head to the side. "I though I had the full one."

She frowned. "Sorry, but no. Unfortunately there was a slight glitch in the computers over the summer and it's made some students final grades who have actually passed failed and vice versa. On the bright side I caught this mistake early in the year, so I talked to coach Smith and he said that if you dressed out everyday for the next two weeks you could catch up."

I tried to wrap my head around this. This escalated very quick. "I have no choice but to change my schedule." I frowned as I realized what she was implying.

"Don't worry. Only your seventh period is changing to P.E."

I sighed, hating this idiotic school.

I entered the large gymnasium, the wooden floor extra glossy and the air stenched of sweat and perfumes trying to cover it up. Luckily I was a few minutes early so there wasn't that many people when I walked in. I found coach Smith and his beer belly easily. I handed him the note the counselor gave me. "Do you have gym clothes?" He asked immediately after reading.

"No."

"Wait here."

Coach Smith came back quick with pieces of fabric in his hand. "This is the only extra I have. Keep it. You wash it everyday and bring it with you everyday, regardless if you're trying to make up grades."

"Yes, sir."

He nodded. "Good. Now go change and I'll assign you a partner."

I shook my head as I turned and went straight to the girls' locker room. A few people glanced at me curiously while I changed but that was it. Everyone left their belongings inside a random unlocked locker and I did the same. The gym clothes was a bit too snug, but it wasn't uncomfortable.

Someone tapped their fingers on my shoulder. I turned and it was Catherine from my anatomy class. "Hey, Luna, right?"

I nodded.

"Coach Smith told me to tell you that you're my partner for the rest of the year."

"Oh. Okay." I softly smiled at her.

"Let's go," Catherine smiled back.

We had assigned seating on the floor next to our partners. Luckily our seating was in the very back. After the time to dress out was done coach Smith called row. Catherine was a naturally very chatty person so I didn't have to put a lot input in the coversation. I was about to answer another of Catherine's questions about my industrial ear piercing but a name called out by coach Smith caught my attention. "Hunter Mathews and Rodrick Meyer!"

As soon as I heard his name I automatically synced into Hunter's view point. His eyes instantly turned furious, practically murdering me with his eyes. Great. I brought my knees to my chest and settled the side of my head on them, all the while I couldn't break my eye contact with him for some strange reason.

"Hey, are you alright?" Catherine, bless her heart, spoke up.

Thankful for the distraction, I sighed happily. I shut my eyes, the sudden darkness helping me. "Yeah. Just tired." Although, it wasn't a complete lie. My mind was too preoccupied of worrying over Hunter over the past few days instead of sleeping properly. I see now that it was unnecessary and he isn't, at the very least, sad and in pain anymore.

"You sure?" She seemed unconvinced.

"Positive." I smiled at her widely. It caught her off guard for a moment before she awkwardly smiled back. I laughed at the reaction.

Suddenly, coach Smith called on us last and after the attendance we were explained about our activity today and then he went into detail which bones and muscles were going to be in use for the game. When he finished, everyone rose and moved to the area they were told to be at from coach Smith earlier.

"Are you nervous?" Catherine asked out of nowhere.

I raised an eyebrow at her, genuinely surprised. So far only Linda could tell when I'm nervous. "Yeah. I'm horrible at sports. Dodgeball is at the very bottom of the list."

Catherine patted my shoulder. "You'll do fine, just stay behind me."

"Thanks."

And then coach's whistle blew and everyone eagerly began. Twenty-five seconds into the game and a ball slammed into my shoulder making me lose my balance and fall straight back. The back of my head harshfully slamming the floor. I groaned, seeing stars and several people suddenly surrounding me. Before my vision turned black I heard a familiar voice's loud laughter.
