Well kpop is a genre of music based in South Korea. Is a pop culture consisting of girl and boy groups. All of which in order to become one requires years of intense training and other things like getting better at korean, learning musical instruments, and to be publicly appealing to the fans.
As it all started in 1992 with the first group being Seo Taiji and the Boys. Now fenale groups didn't come until years much, much later. But when they were first created didn't recieve the same treatment as the boy groups. Back then it was considered a dishonor to korean families but now families are pushing their children to become a kpop idol.
