This is one of the questions many ask when they see posts and comments on social media where this person owns a crap ton of merch. Or has a channel on YouTube that is about unboxing albums. But in reality most of probably have parents who think it's a phase. For some it might be but for others it isn't. And example is how my family even "worried" that I would become a koreaboo. All because I wanted to have merch and try Korean food. That's it I didn't want to wear the makeup or try to live there. Then the excuses came in to check my phone. All because kpop had supposedly ruined my grades, doing chores, and how annoyed I was acting. But the attitude problems came from other things in which are too personal for me to share. In other words some parents/guardians start making excuses for every reason on not to like kpop or buy merch. And you may feel the need to have to have all the merch and go to all the concerts they offer. But in reality it isn't like that you don't need the merch and most importantly your kpop journey is different and in a way unique. Don't worry about buying merch enjoy the experience it gives you. Then with your future job or allowance try saving up to buy them in stores that sell them. Hwaiting! Fighting!
