"The two of you should come with me," he offered with sincerity, "you and (name) can be together, not having to worry about father and his consequences. We can join the goddesses and get rid of him for good."

Zeldris watched his brother with disbelief, not being able to accept the fact that he was serious about leaving his clan to be with Elizabeth, the daughter of the Supreme Deity. He couldn't just leave his clan, but you as well-after sacrificing so much just for him. He couldn't begin to think of the consequences his father would have in store for him, meaning harm to you and if anything were to happen to you, he'd fucking lose it.

"Brother, you can't be serious... Do you hear yourself?" His fists began to clench, turning whiter and whiter by the second.

Meliodas sighed and frowned, lookin at his brother with disappointment. "This is no different than you and (name). You were suppose to kill her, but you kept her alive in secret because you loved her so much. I'm finally understanding what that feeling is, and now you call me the traitor? You're a hypocrite."

"...fine then," he coldly stated, venom dripping from his tonsils, "but you and I are no longer brothers. Since I'm such a damn hypocrite, I'll keep my mouth shut." Hurt and feeling betrayed, Zeldris turned around and left his brother there with more guilt than ever.

Going to the meet up spot, Zel already met you there, sitting down under a large tree in an abandoned village once inhabited by humans. He sat next to you and wrapped his arm around your shoulder, resting his head on your own then exhaling a deep breath he didn't know he inhaled in the first place. You leaned into his touch and leaned your head on his as well.

"Did something happen," you asked immediately. You always knew when something was bothering him. "You seem troubled, my love."

He displayed a look of distress, but you couldn't see it. "Broth- Meliodas," he corrected quickly, "is going to leave the demon clan and be the with Elizabeth of the Goddesses. He offered me to come with him and bring you with me, but-" He suddenly stopped, seemingly not able to finish.

"But... you didn't want to end up getting me hurt in the process," you finished for him.

He wrapped his arm tighter around you. "You know I'd never do anything to hurt you, right?" You heard his voice breaking and his nose sniffling.

"Of course." You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him into a warm embrace, closing your eyes. "And I appreciate you, Zel. I'm proud of you for being so strong through that."

He buried his face in your neck and silently cried.

"I'll make your hurt stop-whatever it takes," you opened your eyes determinedly.
