Your finger hovered with uncertainty over her name in your contacts, the lo fi hip hop beats coming from your laptop fitting perfectly with the rain hitting your window mercilessly, a long sigh left your mouth as you felt something wet roll slowly down your cheek.

Your best friend's warnings echoed in your brain, no calls, no messages, no nothing, you had to forget her.

She had even been at your apartment twice, waited outside for ages as you sat against the door on the other side, fighting with all your strength to not give in.

A loud honk from the streets below scared you enough to drop your phone, standing up from your bed you stretched your limbs, eyes falling on the empty bottle of wine that laid discarded on your bedside table.

Your head spun as you got onto your knees, arms reaching blindly under the bed, praying silently to not encounter anything weird, instead your fingers grabbed a hold of something else, a polaroid from a few months ago, her bright smile was the first thing that caught your attention, how it reached her eyes, and so did yours, her arms wrapped around your neck as you held onto her tightly, a cake littered with pink candles in front of you.

You had wished for that pure happiness to last for just a little longer, for her to never walk out of your life.

But things had changed she had left, you were broken, and before you knew it your phone was beeping against your ear, it only took three rings for her to pick up, your name spilling from her lips in a surprised tone, her sweet voice making your heartbeat jump in your throat.

"I thought I could do it but then I saw your photo and I miss you so much it hurts."

Chaeyoung had been painting Jisoo's nails in their shared living room when the loud music blasting from her phone had suddenly stopped and your name had flashed on her screen, a weird shriek coming from her Unnie's mouth before she called for the other girls.

And now your words spilled into the silent living room, the three girls hovering over their friend as Chaeyoung's heart galloped in her chest.

"And I'm always thinking about you, you hurt me so bad and I'm still thinking about you, and it fucking sucks Chaeyoung."

The older girl's hands shook slightly as she took in your words, noticing the slight slur in your speech,

"I'm so sorry Y/N."

Her words were met with silence as they seemed to have woken you up so suddenly and before you got any more stupid ideas your thumb pressed the red button that had been glaring at you ever since the conversation had started.

Panic set in your veins as her words replayed in your head, throwing yourself onto the big mattress your face buried in your pillow before you started screaming, you screamed until your mind was clear and your throat on fire, but somehow tears were still falling down your face when the doorbell rang.

Sprinting to the door you tried to catch your breath as you looked through the peephole and as you saw the nervous wreck they was Park Chaeyoung on the other side you suddenly felt like throwing up.

Resting your forehead against the cold door you shut your eyes tightly, concentrating on every breath you took,

"I know you're in there Y/N, please open up, I need to see you... Please."

She wasn't prepared to leave this time, she would wait on your doorstep the whole night if necessary but she was determined to see you.

"You weren't here when I needed you the most, so why now?"

The way your voice cracked made her heart sink.

"Because I love you Y/N, and I'm so sorry for hurting you the way I did, but I know you're the one for me, and I'll be damned if I let you slip away for good."

The raw emotion in her voice made your insides quiver, before you could stop yourself your hand turned the key inside the lock and her body crashed against yours making the both of you fall to the ground, her legs straddling your waist as her arms wrapped around tightly, a month had passed since you had last touched her and now your fingertips burned at the contact.

Lifting her head she looked into your eyes, her soft hands holding your face as if it might brake, she leaned into you and pressed her lips against your wet cheeks.

"Please don't cry."

Her lips delicately met your eyelids, then your forehead and your nose before hesitating millimeters from your mouth, her eyes asking you silently for permission, your tongue dampened your dry lips in anticipation and in a second her soft ones were against yours, as if nothing had ever happened, for a moment it all felt like before, they way her mouth moved against yours, lips detaching briefly to let you breathe before starting again, her long fingers making their way down your neck, thumb pressing at the hollow of your  throat, she shifted in your lap trying to get closer, her front pressing against yours, pulling away from the kiss, you took in her disheveled appearance and rested you forehead against her own, chests rising and falling rapidly after the intense moment, her soft hair fell around you like a curtain, your lips almost touching once more, you could feel the desire as her fingers dug into your waist,

"I'm glad you came."

A small giggle escaped her as she tilted her head, her lips teasing you lightly as she breathed against your mouth,

"I'm glad you let me in."
