SIX MONTHS LATER

Stiles walked into the apartment, the entire place was decorated in plain white lights that hung from floor to ceiling almost effortlessly, the upcoming year plastered on anything that they could be taped down too. He knew leaving Jackson in charge of decorating their place would be an interesting feat but it seemed perfect looking around. He was lucky that he got off work before midnight. He smiled to a few of their college friends as he made his way into the kitchen to find his boyfriend talking to his best friend. He moved to the well dressed Jackson and kissed him softly on the lips before pulling Scott into a tight hug.

"There are so many people here." said Stiles with a bright smile as he took one of the red solo cups off the island and took a sip of the fruity drink that waited inside.

"You told me to invite the GSA so I did, but some friends from back home." said Jackson with a smile pulling Stiles to his side.

"Isaac is somewhere in the living room talking to a group of guys. It's strange him and I are dating now." said Scott shaking his head softly, but smiling.

"I kind of figured something was going on the night of the prom, but I kept it to myself." said Stiles as Isaac entered the room and found his way to stand beside Scott, who instinctively wrapped his arms around his waist.

"Stiles, I didn't realize you could make friends." joked Isaac, getting a fake, exaggerated laugh from Stiles.

"You are lucky you are my best friend's boyfriend, otherwise I would make you wait outside like a bad puppy." said Stiles with a raised brow and a smirk.

"Can I borrow the collar Jackson makes you wear?" asked Isaac causing Jackson to choke out a chuckle, causing Stiles to turn his head quickly.

"It was one time and you told people?!" asked Stiles shocked that Jackson had shared something like that with Isaac.

"Holy shit I was joking. There is really a collar?" asked Isaac with a hearty laugh, causing Stiles to blush and just took a drink from his cup quickly.

"Hey guys." came a familiar voice from the doorway, a voice that no one in the kitchen thought they would be hearing again. Everyone turned towards the doorway to see Danny standing there. Stiles had seen him around campus occasionally but Danny made sure to never look in his direction.

"Danny, hey." said Jackson as he held up a cup of the drink, Danny moved to take it and nodded out his thank you.

"Someone in the GSA told me about this party and I didn't realize it was at your place, but maybe this is for the best. I have been meaning to talk to you both, but just wasn't ready." said Danny as he took a sip, Scott gave Stiles a look before dragging out Isaac to the living room. Isaac tried to protest, but Stiles was sure he saw Scott flash his red eyes to him as they walked out.

"I have seen you around campus some but you never looked at me." said Stiles.

"Yeah, that was more out of embarrassment than actual anger. I was pissed off at you Jackson. I don't even think I was pissed at you for not dating me, I was more pissed that you seemed to tell everyone else before telling me and that hurt. Granted, I was pissed about you picking Stiles but you two are kinda cute together." said Danny with a soft smile, causing a smile to form on the other two males in the room faces.

"I am the hotter one though right?" joked Jackson, causing Stiles to nudge him in the stomach.

"You're everyone's type, Jackson." said Danny with a chuckle.

"Damn right I am, but I am kind of stuck with this one for awhile." said Jackson as he pulled Stiles to him and kissed him on the head.

"I am sorry to you both. I was thinking maybe we could grab dinner some night soon? You can meet my boyfriend." suggested Danny.

"Yeah, we would like that Danny." said Stiles with a smile.

"Awesome, I will text you guys." said Danny as he tipped his cup to them as he walked back out into the living room, moving to talk to a group of guys that Lydia was chatting with. Stiles turned towards Jackson and kissed him softly on the lips. He knew not being friends with Danny was something that had been bothering him lately, even though he never said much about it. Jackson didn't talk about his feelings unless Stiles forced him too.

"What's that for?" asked Jackson as he held Stiles close to him, his palms resting on both ass cheeks.

"Just love you. Just happy that we can go into the new year with our friends and each other."

"And tomorrow we are having dinner with your dad and my parents for our late Christmas." said Jackson as he gave Stiles another gentle kiss on the lips.

"Still funny how I am pretty sure they love me more than you now, ya know after they got over the whole 'Isn't this the guy you got a restraining order on' thing, " said Stiles with a smile, "I am happy Danny came."

"Me too, Stilinski. Come on, the ball is about to drop and I need to make sure I am in the middle of the room kissing my boyfriend when it does." said Jackson as he pulled him into the living room. The countdown clock on the television said thirsty seconds. Stiles looked around at the mixing of their high school friends and their college friends around the room. He never was sure where they would all end up but all of them at the same school again seemed perfect and normal. After everything they all have been through, normal was a welcome change.

"10...9....8" started everyone in the room counting down as the crystal ball moved slowly towards the bottom.

"2" said Jackson as he looked at Stiles with a smile plastered on his face.

"1" said Stiles as their lips connected in a soft kiss, cheering around them that he pretended was for them and not the cheering to welcome in the new year. As he pulled away from Jackson's lips, he looked around the room and smiled at everyone. Scott was still kissing Isaac, but as they pulled away, he turned to Stiles and gave him a returned smile. Jackson knew that things would be hard sometimes, but no matter what he was going to be around for Stiles. That nothing mattered in the world, but Stiles. He was happy about his new reputation.
