The school day was over and Seline felt a rush of excitement. Another horrible school day gone. She headed out to the local library to catch up on the homework she didn't do when she was at the hospital. She was relieved to know that the library was mostly empty. If she were a regular teenage girl right now, she would be at the mall with her friends. But she lost that part of herself when her older brother was in the hospital bed. She sighed and let herself go. The tears came tumbling down. She was in the last bathroom stall in the library balling her eyes out. When she was left with no more tears, she washed her pale tear streaked face. She catches a glance of her lifeless wavy brown hair. Her eyes make her look more messed up than she already looks. It was
genetic that she would receive one blue eye and the other eye color would be brown. She never did fit in with the popular crowd, do to her suppose deformity. But Michel her older brother was the friendly guy that everyone wanted to hang out with. He was her best friend and now he is gone
forever. He was too young to die. At eighteen you're suppose to be having the time of your life and not spending your summer in a hospital. Everyone had to fit her in the popular crowd because of her brother. She strived to fit in but she was too different. Now that her brother is dead no one was willing to talk to her, as if she was a disease. Once in a while those old friends would send her a simple wave or hello. They were pitying her and she knew it. The day her brother died was a day of shock and sadness. No tears from her eyes were formed that day, but soon she never could seem to stop them watering when the realization seeped in.
She opened the library steel door too heavy for her to push with one hand. She felt the cold air whip her face. Too bad she didn't drive her truck any more. It was Michel who bought her that car and spent his time fixing it up for her. She could remember the spring break he was going to spend with his girlfriend but gave that up to be with her. Her, the messed up suicidal girl who wanted to kill her self because she could never fit in. He brought her to parties and introduced her to friends and did every thing to make Seline feel alive. All that did to Seline was make her worse. She heard other girls speaking bad behind their friend's back. If this was life than she would rather be dead with their father. The father who they never met. The world is as messed up as she is. But now that he was gone she didn't want to do it. She couldn't leave their mother. She hated sadness and the meanness of the world so that very little thing she can do is help her mother. Learning to drive was the one thing that made her truly smile. She now didn't use that red truck. The color was too cheery for her but Michel insisted that the truck was perfect for her. Now it's by its self in the garage like her. Now she biked everywhere in her turquoise bike. The only thing that calmed her and made her feel free. The one thing that made her forget about what was happening.
She decided to take short cut through the woods. It was getting late and she didn't want to be late getting home because her mother would start to worry. Seline never liked it when her mother was crying or in her pretending to be happy face. She loves her mother and in her eyes it would be
a crime not to spend her time with her mother because you never know how much time you have before you die. Seline wishes that she could have spent more time at the hospital with her brother.
Seline unlocks her turquoise bike and heads through the now frost covered ground. Wow, Seline was surprised on how dark it was outside.
Fast, fast, faster, the cool air was a nice breeze that made her breath a visible fog. The bike never ceased to let her forget herself and the pain she feels. At that moment Seline forgot which path she took. Oh, no, she was lost. Still she kept going on. She was scared of stopping and seeing the unknown. She heard a growl and laughter. She heard a deep manly voice and another sweet manly
voice.
" No don't hurt her it isn't her fault. She doesn't know wait until she turns eighteen. It isn't far away wait. Please. She isn't a use to you in her state." said the sweeter voice.
Seline went faster on her bike, She was scared of the two men in the forest. What if they are planning to rape her? No! This can't happen! Seline pedaled as fast as she could go. The slick frost on the woods ground didn't want her to leave and leave her destiny. The wind howled. Even the
earth knew that Seline's destiny is coming. Seline didn't see rock in her path because she was panicking. It was a mistake. And then....
she flew unto the frost covered ground. Unconscious she laid there for a couple minutes, Snow appeared. Seline's tragic fall was called for. Seline's head was throbbing with pain. Her head hit the ground hard. Barely regaining her sight. Everything was spinning and blurry. She saw a young guy
around her age come forth out of the woods. His baby blue eyes held her gaze.
He lifted her up as if she was nothing but a rag doll. Seline was too weak to fight him. She was captured by how calm
and fine looking he was. He looked kind and beautiful as he ran quickly through the snow. Suddenly Seline was shivering. It was so cold. She hadn't realized how long she was laying in the snow. He
climbed up the or jumped but some how they got to her second story bedroom. With blank white bare walls. He laid her on her bed. He took her wet clothes off.
"Don't worry I won't hurt you. I promise."
Seline managed a sigh of relief maybe he wasn't going to rape her. He some how got into her into her pj's. He had laughed at her sigh of relief. Seline was too weak to move her mouth and question
this stranger. His face seemed familiar but yet she doesn't remember seeing him at her school or meeting him. He tucked her in her Navy blue blankets.
" Oh, sweet Seline, what you don't know is yet to come. It's almost time, don't worry though because I'll take care of you. I promise. Good night destined one."
With that soft whisper in her ears. She let her eyes lids drupe down. He's warmth had disappeared as soon as she was fast asleep.
