With the magic coursing through my veins and no idea how to use it, Kazaru had a twisted smile and a maniacal laugh to follow as he approached with heavy steps. Katie had ran behind me with blood dripping and a pain I could feel coursing through her stomach. "Leave!" I shouted and she left, knowing full well she would be targeted if she stayed. I couldn't describe what I felt. It was a powerful mixture of anger, sorrow, pain and another feeling that I couldn't put my finger on. Maybe it was my feelings for Katie or just a feeling of failure, I couldn't protect myself or her. One thing I know for sure though is that this power changes everything, and now I can protect myself. I heard a flurry of footsteps rush inside the now shattered apartment. It was my parents, who to my surprise weren't at all astonished by my new magical form. "Stay away from him" screamed my Ashira, my mother as she swung at Kazaru with a long blue staff. This staff had moderately sized circle the same gold as the middle of the staff and a black triangle inside it. Kazaru and the Pouncer stared for at my parents before taking off through the window they shattered with my body. For a second everything was alright but that second lasted for a fragment of a moment before I collapsed and fell unconscious. I remember an empty feeling, darkness and then fulfillment, light. There were two entities that were both sentient in their entirety. The being of darkness extended his hand and spoke 'with blood and darkness-" and at another moment that seemed to interrupt the dark being, the being of light his hand and spoke "with purity and light". My head began to pound while the both stood still with there hands still extended and waiting for a response. As if by nature, I extended my hands and reached out for them to help me up but as my hands inched closer, they faded further and further out of existence until they were gone. Then I awoke at home, covered from head to toe in bandages with Katie's resting of the edge of the bed. She had bandages around her waist and moved around until she subconsciously climbed onto me and lay her head on my chest. At first when she clamored on me it hurt like a bitch but the pain was quickly replaced by comfort. "She isn't really sleeping" spoke a gentle voice that rang inside my head. I was thrown into a frantic state of disbelief as the previous moments of Kazaru and the Pouncer rushed through my already aching head. I remember them speaking again and saying "We are real and now reside inside you master". I had a million questions that ran through my head and made it pound harder and harder the more I thought. Still considering just how truly fucked up I was, I went back to sleep to allow my body to heal more.

Several Hours Later...

I awoke and rubbed my eyes to clear my eyes of any crap that decided to wander to them. I had noticed many different things from several hours ago. The room I was in wasn't mine, it was a room with a shiny marble floor and white walls. The bed was an expensive white cloth with the furniture being assorted shades of a much darker color that was either blue or black. My bandages had been removed entirely and I was wearing nothing but my underwear. The bed shook and my face became flushed as I realized Katie was sleeping next to me in autumn colored undearwear. I stood up and examined the scars that remained covering my body all over me and realized that none of them were there. The door opened and a man wearing an outfit resembling what a butler would wear walked in and smiled. "Master Miroki, I see your awake and healed". I nodded and tried to walk but my legs were too heavy to carry me so I ended up stumbling backwards onto the bed. The butler put walked over and checked my temperature then stepped back. "I'll return just wait here and pardon my rudeness, my name is Aster". He rushed himself out of the room and didn't return for a couple hours. Katie had woken up and clung to me crying without saying anything. "It's alright" I assured her but her tears fell more. "Come on don't cry, I'm fine now and so are you and we're safe so please relax". I tried again to comfort her and this time it worked. She snuggled up to me and I wrapped my arms around her waist which made her smile. "How long have we know each other Miroki? Since the first day of school?" asked a reminiscing Katie. I nodded and she giggled. "So I don't know if you thought you could hide it but I know you really like me. Like reallllyyyyy like me but you didn't ask me out and why is that?" Her whole statement made me blush as I turned away and stared at a white collared shirt and white jeans. Aster reentered and gestured toward the clothing  to to put it on. I nodded and I dressed in the bright clothing that I thought would blind someone. Underneath the collared shirt was a darker yellow t-shirt that I let hangout over the jeans. I looked around to see no mirror and no shoes in a room in some random house. "I think these are yours Miroki" said Katie as she handed me black dress shoes and socks to finish the outfit. Katie stood up wearing nothing but underwear that complimented her body well. I couldn't help but stare and she smiled and kissed me then told me "it's official" and started walking around. Aster coughed and I nervously chuckled in response while waving me towards him. "Change is a passive force that won't wait for you so please hurry young master and follow me." These words would come to be the wisest words I'd hear for a while as I followed Aster towards what he called change.
