Tomura Shigaraki has been known to never keep a job. It was pure luck that he kept the same job for more than 2 weeks tops. It was hard enough for someone like Tomura to even be accepted, with his unkept appearance and his dry, withering skin. And his stubborn attitude of 'give as little information as possible' didn't help either, as it always gave employers a creepy vibe.

Getting a job was hard enough, but what was the real challenge was keeping said job. It wasn't his appearance or his attitude. Not even his noticeable habit of scratching his neck. It never had to come down to that. One thing always kept jobs from keeping Tomura Shigaraki. His quirk.

Tomura's quirk is a simple one. If he touches something with all five fingers, it decays. It also causes his skin to dry up and wither, and believed to have started his neck scratching habit. But, with or without gloves, Tomura always manages to slip up under pressure and cause businesses hundreds of dollars. That's when the pink slip comes in.

Tomura is an art student at a local university. He's always done well in school, and with the help of scholarships he was able to attend one of the best art programs in Japan. Unfortunately, even with his scholarships, online art commissions, and his many last paychecks, he knows he will be in extreme debt at the end.

The blue haired boy lives in an apartment near the university. He rooms with his loving but energetic friend, Himiko Toga. Toga is a shorter girl with bangs and long blonde hair, that she usually pulls up into buns. She has more persistence and kindness than Tomura has ever met. She is also extremely cuddly and pushy with feelings. The boy usually hates these type of people, but Toga somehow squeezed his way into Tomuras dark heart.

Toga is attending the university with Tomura, and is studying Criminal Justice and Biology, and planning on becoming a forensics scientist. She walks with Tomura to his classes and back, and has even tried to set Tomura up with other Art Students, which he never appreciates. He never was one for new relationships of any kind.

Toga was always a worrier when it came to Tomuras social skills. She's under the belief that if she didn't put Tomura in social situations, he could go weeks without human interaction. She is usually the one that helps the artist find the motivation and confidence to find new jobs. Motivation and confidence was never one of Tomuras strong suits.

It is currently a Wednesday night. The slim boy was just fired from another job at the bowling alley. The place was packed today, and as his boss was screaming at him to hurry up, he decayed 5 bowling balls trying to polish them. Actually getting fired doesn't have a sting for Tomura anymore, but telling his roommate of his failure never got easier.

Toga knew exactly what the boy was gonna say the minute he walked in the apartment, with his head down in disappointment and utter despair.

"Hey Tomura! How was your day?" The girl chirped.

The artist groaned and threw himself onto the coach. "The bowling alley was a dud.".

Toga ran to over to Tomura and hugged him tightly, "Aw, what happened? Did your quirk get in the way? Do I need to hurt anyone?".

"It just didn't work out, okay? It doesn't matter, the boss was a dick anyways." the blue haired boy grumbled.

"Are you sure?".

"..Yeah it's fine. I'm still getting a paycheck.".

"Alright well I'll help you find a new money maker!" Toga then gasped dramatically. "Actually I remembered, a coffee shop just recently opened up down near my classes! You should totally apply there! Then Magne I could meet up with you after my classes while you are working!" She squealed.
