Just being alone for a little bit

After school on Tuesday, I went to the gym. I felt that I just needed to be alone. I got a basketball from the hopper and I started shooting free throws. I just couldn't stop worrying about Brandon and Blake being bullied by this random 8th grader who just wore Sperrys, and cornrows for hair. Eventually Jessica must've heard my dribbling and came into the gym. " I guess you haven't been working on your shots lately" she joked. I go and sit on the bleachers. " I didn't come here to improve my game, I already have game, but I came here to just ponder about the bully incident. What am I gonna to Lena?" It's ok Darr-" Lena no it's not" I perked up. "Brandon's in trouble. I just wanted him to have a good 6th grade year, and now, some Stupid 8th grader is saying otherwise. Lena I feel awf-"Lena stops my sentence and she just hugs me. "Don't worry Darrin. Your being such a good brother right now. Your a good brother and that's all u need to be. Me, you, and Bryce will think of something. Right now though, the only thing we can do is hope God and Jesus wi guide Blake, and Brandon. "Thanks for cheering me up Lena." No prob buddy" Jessica said. She gives me a quick peck on the cheek. " what was that for?" I asked Lena, and wondered in my head." I don't know,just something to encourage you to be a good brother" Jessica remarked. "Hey Jessica let's see who can make 10 layups in a row, 1st. "Ok...... YOUR ON!!!" We did best 2 out of three. I won first... but Jessica beat me the next 2 times. WOWW... it turned out I did need to practice a little. "HOW DID U BEAT ME?!" I was going ballistic. " it's all in the wrist Darrbear" Jessica commented." OkI Well played" I actually had fun hanging with her for the rest of the afternoon. Just us shooting alone.............................. having fun.😊😄😎
