e of dragon in the wild, offer it a cigarette and sing it 'Old Town Road', and it will leave you alone. If not, it will vomit barbecue sauce all over you, and beat you with footballs. You will be plagued by 'Yeehaws'. Koikit dashed over to the other kits, her koi colored calico pelt fluffing in excitement.

"Wait, Sugarkit!" she called to the white tabby she-cat with green eyes. Sugarkit laughed,

"Catch up slowpoke!" she mewed. Koikit's legs buckled as she collapsed into a fit of hacking and coughing. My throat again! She wailed, her chest so tight, it sounded like sand scraping in her lungs. Sugarkit gasped,

"Spicefur! Its Koikit, it's happening again!" she called. Spicefur padded up to where Koikit lay, his apprentice, Firefly, right behind him.

"It's time for your nightly treatment." Spicefur mewed calmly, walking into the den. Firefly followed. Koikit shakily limped into the den. Spicefur took the purple berries from the rock shelf,

"Eat these" he meowed. Koikit ate the berries, the juice bubbling on her tongue. She felt tired. Firefly placed some Lemongrass over Koikit's open mouth and breathed deeply into her mouth. The Lemongrass filtered the germs in Firefly's breath out, and replaced them with a minty clearness. Koikit fell asleep, it really is gonna be ok! She thought. Her best friend thought she was broken! Her eyes opened,

"Can I see Sugarkit?" She mewed through the muffled leaves.

"No sweetie." a soft voice sang. That's all Koikit heard. Sugarkit's light gray, soft pelt throbbed in her mind. My friend... I can't ever play with you... she heard voices outside,

"Can't I see her?" a young tom's concerned voice asked. A stern old tom answered the cat,

"Sparkkit, you know you can't do that!" he lowered his voice,

"She has a problem. I'm going to get her now."

Spicefur sauntered into the den. Koikit closed her eyes, as if they had never opened.

"Koikit! Time to play!" He purred in a cheery voice,

"We're gonna play medicine cats!" He announced.

"I'll be the medicine cat, you two be sick!" Sparkkit flopped over moaning, as he was clearly in on the act. "My belly hurts!" he moaned. Koikit sat down, My fake illness, what should it be...? She threw herself on the ground.

" I was fighting for my clan with all my life! But Northstar, the Flameclan leader, ripped out my belly, and ate it! Oh, the agony!"

she writhed in pretend pain. Spicefur shrugged,

"OK!" he pushed on Sparkkit's chest, it didn't budge.

"All better!" Spicefur mewed. He next pushed on her chest, her ribcage flexed in and incaved her lungs. She frowned

"How could that help a ripped belly?"

She mewed. His face got hot, "It, helps.. Um, oh! Well.. its fixed!"

he stuttered. "I have to talk to Sunstar, right now, bye!" he dashed off. Koikit followed,

"Her lungs are deformed, Sunstar, she won't be able to hold her breath long enough to hunt in water, dive, patrol, or even seastar farm!" She heard Spicefur whisper to Sunstar. She was engulfed in rage. I can still be useful! She was so angry, that her chest collapsed into a fit of wheezing, coughing, and rage. Sunstar ran out of her den,

"Koikit!" she raced over to her. Koikit batted her away,

"You don't care about my well being! Because I can't hunt you think i'm so useless! You won't care if I die!" She screeched.
