I wake up in my room to the sound of my alarm. That’s weird. I must have forgotten myself waking up and coming home from the hospital. The doctor said I would probably be drowsy, I probably just forgot. Luckily my arm doesn’t really hurt, thats good. I fall out of bed onto the hardwood and put on my slippers then drift downstairs to the smell of donuts and bacon.
“Good morning!” mom says as dad pats me on the back, “what would you like for breakfast?”
“We have bacon, donuts, mom even made ice cream!” dad adds, drinking his coffee.
“Ice cream? For breakfast?” I question.
“Oh, do you not want that? We have chocolate pie and whipped cream!” dad says rushing to the fridge to get out the pie.
“Wow! Okay, I guess I will have some ice cream,” I say scooping some mint chocolate ice cream into my cereal bowl.
I sit at the table next to Cody, Carter and Max and start eating while wondering what happened to my parents. Once I finish chewing on the sticky caramel topping, I go upstairs to get dressed. I put on my usual, jeans a T-shirt and stick my hair into a quick ponytail.
“Okay, mom! I’m going to school!” I yell.
“Okay hun, have a good day!” she screams from her bedroom closet.
I rush out the door,
“Here we go again,” I whisper to myself, waiting at the bus stop.
“Hey! Alexis right?” some unknown voice says from behind me.
I turn around and it’s Maddison. She has never really talked to me before, I wonder why she all of a sudden decided to talk to me.
“Umm, yeah, you can call me Alex,” I say.
“Okay the Alex, I love your jeans? Where did you get them?” she asks,
“Oh these? I got them from the thrift store down the street!” I say proudly,
“Really?” Maddison questions, “I’m going to scavenger there some day!”
I chuckle. The bus rolls over to the bus stop and then we hop on.
“Well see you in school Alex!” she says, walking over to her friend Lizzy.
“Okay!” I yell, accidentally too loud.
I take out my spanish homework because I kind of forgot to do it over the weekend, it has been one hectic weekend.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see a boy approaching me then tapping me on the shoulder.
“Hey, you’re Alex right?” the boy questions, as I look up from my homework. It’s James Chance, the most popular guy in school; he’s got the most amazing, blazing blue eyes and chocolate brown hair.
““Um, yeah, I guess, I mean, I am, yes, I am Alexis, you can call me Alex,” I breath, combing back my hair and smiling.
“Can I sit here?” James asks quietly,
“Oh, umm, yeah, here! Sit!” I screech.
“Okay,” he smirks dragging his backpack off his shoulders, “So what do you have here?”
“This?” I utter, “this is just some spanish homework, I forgot to do it yesturday.”
He looks at me with a confused face, but before either of us could say anything, the bus driver slams on the breaks and ushers every single person out of the doors.
“Alex,” he shouts disappearing into the crowd, “meet me in the art room at three O’clock!”
I nod my head, he probably couldn’t see that though.
I walk through the halls as people look at me, only this time people wave and smile. What is this, some kind of prank the whole school is in on? What ever this is, I might as well just enjoy it. I walk into math and sit down in the middle of the classroom in the middle desk.
“Hey Alex! Mind if I sit next to you?” Lilly exclaims. She is never this perky.
“Sure, whatever,” I say rudley.
“Okay thanks! So how what are you doing this weekend?”
“Fine,” I say.
I’m trying to keep my answers short because I’m not letting her boss me around and act all rude and then expect me to be nice.
“Fun! We should hang out sometime, because honestly you are so funny! And where ever did you get those jeans?” she says all perky, that’s when I blow.
“Okay, you know what? Will you just stop! I know this is just some joke that you all are playing! I am done with it, so will everyone just stop this?” I shout,
“What on earth are you talking about?” she asks,
“Don’t act like you don’t know!” I shout in her face,
“What? I don’t!” she yells.
“Sure!” I yell sarcastically waving my hands in the air.
“Hey you’re Alex, right?”
“Great, another person,” I whisper, turning around, It’s some girl named Maya, “seriously?”
“What?” she questions,
“Alex has gone all crazy, I don’t know what the heck happened to her,” Lily says, popping into the conversation.
“No I am not going crazy!” I scream, “I know you all are just playing some stupid little prank!”
“What are you talking about?!” Lilly screams in frustration,
“We aren’t pulling a prank!” Maya adds.

“Class! Quiet down!” Mr. H says, overpowering the ruckus of the class.
Everyone finds their seats and then takes out their notes, a pencil and a purple book from underneath the desks. Class went on and on and on, until the last bell went off. It was finally three O’Clock.
