Okay guys this is me formally apologizing for my lack of updates. I have been attacked and bogged down by the eternal demon of school and extracurricular activities.  I hope you guys keep with thank you and me to my patient fans that are so great.

Dean's POV

There was a small chunk, no, make that a really big chunk missing from the middle of Dean's chest. The impala was still in the driveway of his dad's house and he and Sam were walking on the street to the home of Mr. Robert Singer, an old and dear friend. This man was more of a father to the boys than John had ever been, a man that would accept them no matter what.

Dean rounded the corner with Sam following them close behind. They reached the site of Singer Auto, with a broken neon sign and even more broken cars. Dean noticed the light on in the kitchen "He must be home" Sammy said

"Hope so" Dean walked up the steps to the front door and knocked.

A gruff voice answered from inside "I don't like magazines, my vacuum is fine and I don't want raffle tickets."

"He's home," Dean said " Hey Bobby it's us, the Winchesters, Sam and Dean" Dean shouted at the door. The floorboards creaked and the door opened a crack.

"Hey boys, what are you doing here?"

"Dad kicked Dean out so I came with him," Sammy said very nonchalantly.

" Why would he do that?"

"Because I told him I was bisexual, and that I'm going out with a guy" Dean said with eyes on the floor. '

"That ain't right, a man shouldn't throw his kid out for being in love. No matter what, a parent should love their kid. Come on in boys"

The Singer residence was piled high with old papers, newspapers, documents, books, and empty whiskey bottles. The old wood floors creaked and groaned under every step, the staircase leading to the upstairs had become inhabited by bottles of alcohol of all shapes and sizes.  Bobby Singer had been the town drunk since before the Winchesters' lives began, and since before the John Winchester that was decent had disappeared from existence. He may have been the town drunk but he was the sanest person on planet Earth.

The old drunk sat on a couch cushion and motioned for Sam and Dean to sit across from him in the other chair in the overcrowded sitting room. "So tell this to me from the beginning"

"Well, I met him at Harvelle's diner, he works there, and then we called each other and went for a date earlier today and I got home later than expected and then Dad had found some of the messages on the phone and then he grilled Sammy for info before I got there and when I arrived he blew up at me, and said some vulgar things to me and told me to get out, so I told Sammy to get his stuff and then we left. That's the story"

"Of course you can stay here boys," Bobby said.

Sammy, who had been awfully quiet, spoke up "Thanks Bobby "

"No problem boy"

Cas's POV

Two weeks later:

Cas lay awake in his tiny room and cried.  He was scared. He was a scared little boy. He felt no comfort in anything his brothers had tried to tell him, Gabe's jokes were not funny, Michael's reaffirmations of his support meant nothing, and Luc's offer to make burgers went unnoticed.  Castiel was inconsolable. All he wanted was Dean Winchester and Dean was not picking up his phone.

"Hey Cassie, it me Luc, can I come in?" Luc said slowly

"No, go away! Don't call me Cassie"

" All right Asstiel I made you a burger... I'll eat it if you aren't going to. "

"If you are trying to tempt me with food then you can forget about it. I'm not hungry" Cas said

"I'm going to eat it!" Luc said

"No, wait come on in the door is unlocked" Cas murmured

"I knew you couldn't resist the sweet scent of burgers," Luc said, he entered the room with a plate of fries and a burger.

"Dude, turn on the lights and open the blinds, maybe get some Febreeze in here. This place reeks" Luc opened the window and curtains and turned on the lights.

"You can stop now, Luc."

" Alright, alright, here's your food"

Castiel gobbled the food up, not realizing how hungry he was.

"Okay tell me what's been going on with Dean "

" So after the date, he was pretty agitated, I figured it was something with his dad. So I let it go. Then he didn't call me to tell me why. So I called his cell and he didn't answer so I tried his home phone. I haven't seen him at the diner, and when I see him at school and in class its like he isn't even there. I've tried talking to him and he seems vacant. He won't answer me. Its like I don't even exist. "

"As you know all of the relationships in my life have gone utterly sour before I had the chance to get to know someone well and my heart has really never been broken. So I really don't know what you are going through.  I can tell you that we are hearing for you and that there are people that love you, people that it's ok to tell your story to. Know this we will do anything to help you just give us the word and we will be there. Even Michael and his oversized ego will be there. "

"Thanks Luc," Cas said solemnly whilst devouring the expertly crafted burger.

A small buzzing sound came from the general direction of Castiel's phone. Luc went to grab it. "Luc that's my phone. Let me get it "

"Nope its Dean. I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind. No one messes with my little bro and gets  away with it." He picked up and answered, " Hello Mr. Winchester, this is Lucifer Novak of 'Mess with My Bro and Kiss Your Ass Good-Bye Incorporated ' how may I help you?"

The voice on the phone said "Listen I need to talk to Cas, Listen please he's the only one I can trust, I screwed up I really screwed up"

DunDUnDun ok sorry about that long wait. Chapter 9 will come sooner than later.

Thank you to all who still read this
