going back.. things arent what they used to be

I woke up earlier than Luca and he was still sound asleep. I smiled and gave him a kiss on his cheek then I tried going back to sleep.. it didn't work. I grabbed my phone and saw I had many missed phone calls and texts messages. But it wasn't from my family or anything it was from Jackson and Payton.

my heart dropped

I started reading through because apparently they made a gc (group chat) with just the three of us and they started going off on me because I broke up with Jackson. I haven't really talked to anyone but my close friends and family but as I was reading through they completely forgot how Jackson cheated on me that's why I broke up with him.
Payton: Why would you do that it was only a mistake
Jackson: look I'm sorry but you didn't have to break my heart like that
I keep reading and now they are making fun of me and they already know I'm a bit insecure so I start to tear up. Luca moves around a bit while I'm on top of him. I quickly set my phone down and wipe the tears away from my eyes and try to go back to sleep but he wakes up. I try to act like I'm crying in my sleep but it doesn't work he shakes me (awake) and he has a worried look on his face. "y/n" "Y/N" "what's wrong?" I just look around the room because I felt like I couldn't face him. "please tell me" he says holding my body tight in his arms. "I- *sniffle* They were being mean to me over text and I know everything they are saying isn't really true but it still hurts." "who?!" he starts to grab my phone and he has a little bit of an angry tone when he says that. "no it's fine don't worry about it i'll fix it I-". "no way I'm not gonna let you do that on your own fr (for real) tell me what's wrong". I hug him tightly and put my head on his shoulder and tell him everything.

He seems really upset about it all but he tries his best to comfort me. "okay.. it's gonna be okay I'll help you fix it" he looks at me into my eyes when he tells me that and I nod my head. "I wanna go back home but I wanna stay here with you" I say in a whiny tone. "I'll go back to your house with you" I gasp "reallyyyy?!" I get really giddy and excited. "yeah I haven't met your parents yet" He's so adorable. "yayy"

We get dressed with something comfortable and I took one of the thousands of sweatshirts he has. nothing too fancy though I didn't really feel like putting makeup on either so I threw my hair up in a messy bun. He packs a couple of things and I texted my mom making sure she's okay with him staying over for a couple nights. She said she would be okay with it but she wants to talk to me about it afterwards. She also told me Jackson left in a hurry and didn't pay much attention to anyone on the way out. We get in the car and he turns on his favorite music. I switch it up on him making him mad I giggle at the side eye he gives me then we head off to my house. "turn right wait- no left" I say looking back and forth from my phone to the road laughing. "you are the worst person for directions" he says laughing at me while he takes my phone. I take it back from him "no! i've got it i promise"

Once we get to my house he sighs "finally" I giggle at his comment and we head to the front door. I run up and hug everyone and they all meet Luca. It made my heart flutter watching everyone get along so well with him. he already put a smile on everyone's faces even with the heavy atmosphere at what happened about a week ago. we hold hands while walking up to my room so he can set his stuff down. He sits at the end of the bed and I sit on top of him while wrapping my legs around him. "welcome to my houseee" he smiles and looks around the room then looks back at me "well so far the bed is comfortable and that's good enough for me" I roll my eyes and give him a push with a smile. My phone goes off and it's-
"austin?"
