Seven's POV
They should have known there was no chance in hell I was gone let him marry her. That's my girl and always will be.
"If there's anyone here who believes Hakeem and Rose shouldn't journey down this road, speak now or forever hold your peace."
"I object," I yelled and stood up.
If looks could kill, I was dead. Rose looked at me like she was throwing daggers.
"I'ma kill him," Rose said. She gave her bouquet to Lisa and headed my way.
Hakeem tried to stop her, but Devin stopped him. "I got her. Let her handle him." He walked up behind Rose.
She walked up and slapped me. "What the hell are you even doing here?" she asked.
"You cannot marry him. You belong to me. Nobody could ever love you like I do. So the real question is what are you doing?!"
"You're so right! Nobody could ever love me like you do! They love me better! The entire time we were together, you cheated on me. You hit me. You broke my heart. Hakeem was there to put it back together. So therefore if you do not wanna witness this, then leave. If not, sit your ass back down and shut the hell up. I got a wedding to finish."
And like that, she walked back to the alter next to Hakeem. She said something to him, and he started laughing. I was pissed off. I got into the aisle and stormed to the alter after Rose. I was about to snatch her ass up, but Devin swung at me, and I fell to the floor.
Devin and I started fighting. "Stop it!" Rose yelled. "Dominic, leave me alone. There are kids here! You don't want me, but you don't want anybody else to have me. It's not gonna work like that! I've had enough of your shit! Excuse me, Pastor Troy. But I'm tired of it, Dominic. If I have to, I'll get a restraining order against you. You are too grown for this shit!"
"I suggest you get outta here," Devin said. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Leave my sister alone. She doesn't want you."
"You know what? When he breaks your heart don't come looking for me."
"She ain't even gotta worry about that. I'll never do her like you did her," Hakeem said.
I just left. I couldn't even stop their wedding. She real deal don't want me. I thought she would always choose me. I guess I was wrong.
I meet up with Neal. I knew if we had one thing in common it was our hatred for Hakeem and he being the one Rose end up with. Real shit....if Rose ain't with me, then she won't be with nobody, and that's on gang.
Hakeem's POV
We didn't let Seven and his bullshit agenda ruin our day. Once he left, we let Pastor Troy finish our ceremony.
"Hakeem and Rose has decided to write their own vows. Hakeem, go ahead."
I turned to Rose. Just looking at her made me wanna say fuck these vows and get straight to kissing my bride. I smiled at the thought.
"Rose, my best friend, my lover, my heart. Nothing could have prepared me for this day. I've seen you endure so much, and to know that you still have love for me makes this day even more special. I love you so much. I vow on this day to be the best husband, the best lover, and the best father you and our children deserve. I'm here through sickness and health; for richer or poorer. I love you, baby."
"Go ahead, Rose," Pastor Troy said.
"Hakeem, my soulmate, my world, every breath I take. I thank you so much for loving me. Growing up I never thought you would be the one that stole my heart. You were so cool. You loved me through all my ups and my downs. On this day, I vow to be the best wife, the best homemaker, and the best mother you and our children deserve. I love you through the good and the bad; through sickness and health; for richer or poorer. I love you, Keem."
After that I wasn't even tryna hear anything else. I just started kissing her. "Boy, hold your horses!" my Granny yelled. Everyone started laughing.
"The rings please," Pastor Troy said. Jamison help Austin's hand while they walked up to us. Austin held out the pillow for pastor to take. He handed me Rose's ring.
"Repeat after me," he said. "I, Hakeem, take you, Rose, as my lawfully wedded wife. I promise to love, honor, cherish, and obey you for the rest of our lives."
After I recited what he asked me to say, he turned to Austin and got my ring and handed it to Rose. "Rose, repeat after me: I, Rose, take you, Hakeem, to be my lawfully wedded husband. I promise to love, honor, cherish, and obey you for the rest of our lives."
She repeated after Pastor Troy and a smiled crept upon my face. I knew what was coming next.
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Now, Hakeem, you may kiss your bride."
I pulled her close to me and gave her the best of me. I kissed those juicy lips and I never wanted to stop.
After she pecked my lips three more times, we turned to face our family. "I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Hakeem Lorenzo Jackson."
That was all she wrote. I had my wife and my kids, and that's all I needed.
