The sky was getting darker. Night already? I have to find shelter... Jade was on her own in this forest, barely getting through the second day. She was starving, and she desperately needed water. Then, she spotted a tiny creek, about the width of a small magazine. This will have to do, she thought. The thirsty kitten lapped up the tiny puddles, along with any mud and dirt that was hiding in the water. Feeling a little bit better, she decided to look for food.

After a lengthy search, she still hadn't found anything edible. Of course, there was grass everywhere, but the thought of eating grass never even got close to crossing her mind. Then, like the world saw her hunger, she found a berry-covered plant. The berries were attached by a plant that looked kind of like a red stick, and the berries sort of looked like eyeballs, staring right at her. Even though these berries gave her an unnerving feeling, Jade decided to try one. It tasted horrible, but at least it was food. She certainly wouldn't try strange berries she found in the forest ever again.

A few minutes passed, and the tiny green cat began to feel sick. Nauseous. She felt like if she took another step, she would immediately collapse. Jade had no idea what was happening to her, but she felt it had something to do with the eye berries. To ease her stomach, she decided to lie down and take a quick nap. It couldn't be too long, though, because this forest was filled with dangers. She would rest her eyes for a short while and then immediately get going again. She didn't follow her plans and accidentally fell into a deep sleep.

Jade woke up to a loud rumbling in the distance. She froze. Is the bad man back? She slowly made her way toward the sound, trying to find out what it was. The curious kitten crept along the dead leaves, trying not to crush any of them. Another rumble rang out from the darkness, but this one sounded more like a boom. Jade began to realize her fur was getting wet from rain. It was storming.

The sky lit up with lightning, followed by deafening thunder. Jade had never been outside during a thunderstorm. She thought about going back to the man's cabin, but she wasn't that desperate. Suddenly, a crack of lightning struck a tree with an ear-shattering boom, and the tree caught fire and fell. The horrified kitten still couldn't move after eating those sickening berries.

As she lied there, she thought about her siblings. Would they ever come to save her? Had they forgotten about her? Jade's mind was racked with worry. Maybe she would have to live in the forest for the rest of her life. Of course, with the current situation, her life probably wouldn't last too long. Then, a roaring rang out from the trees. A monster? Something orange and red was running towards her. She slowly crawled out of the way, only to see Magma running away from a bear at top speeds. She tried to meow to get his attention, but he was too fast. She was stranded and alone once again.
