Waiting around for Brian was never a good sign, especially when it came to a date.

I sat alone at a booth in the back of a restaurant around for him. I looked down at my phone every ten minutes hoping he'd show. I should be used to this by now but it bothered me a lot and Brian knew exactly how I felt.

I couldn't bring myself to leave him. Brian was my everything. Sure we had our ups and downs but I loved him even more after every argument we've ever had. He just had that charm that I couldn't resist.

My phone buzzed and I quickly looked down, hoping it was a next from Brian. To my disappointment, it wasn't but instead, it was my friend Bobbi. I'd just reply later, she wouldn't mind. The waiter here was nice and it almost seemed like he'd be checking up on me, making sure I was alright.

I looked around once more, but Brian was nowhere to be found. I sighed and rested my chin on the palm of my hand. A night that I was looking forward to was ruined. How could Brian not show up on a night like this? He was for sure going to get into a lot of shit when the next time I see him.

Today has been exactly three years since we've gotten together. If it was just like a date or something I wouldn't be as pissed as I am now but this wasn't just any date. On this day three years ago was when we got together. The more I thought about Brian, the angrier I got. Leave it to Brian to not show up on our anniversary.

"You need to leave him, Rei. He's no good for you. Look at him, he's never around and he never shows up when you guys are going out. Plus he's never there for you when you need him. You can find someone better than him. You want my advice? Leave him. Now."

Bobbi's words kept running through my mind. Maybe she was right. Maybe I should leave Brian. But it was hard to just get up and leave, even when that person was an ass.

"No show huh?" The waiter asked.

"Sadly no," I replied.

"I can tell this was an important night for you."

I nodded my head. "It was our anniversary."

The waiter shook his head and gathered up the empty dishes. "You're a pretty lady, you should be with someone that treats you good."

I looked up at him, that's what pretty much my entire family has been telling me. I grabbed my stuff from the table and headed out the door. I needed to talk to Bobbi about this. After all, she is my best friend.

So I haven't written anything for a very long time. I'm not very confident when it comes to writing nowadays. This was something I was working on a long time ago, I finished it but I thought I would rewrite it and change up a few things. This was probably my favorite story to write back when I was big into this stuff. But I hope you enjoy :)
