"He won't be bothering you anymore. Trust me. You'll find another job. They'd be an idiot not to hire you. And you're coming to my place for the night, don't worry Bobbi knows but she didn't seem to happy. Frankly, I don't think she cares for me at all. I'm sensing a little hostility from her."

I didn't say anything. Of course, it was true that she didn't like him but I wasn't going to tell him although he already knew, he didn't need to hear it from me. It was just a fight that happened a while ago, Brian not being there when I needed him and Bobbi getting fed up with him. Whatever problem they had with each other I was not going to be put in the middle of it.

"So I guess we're both staying at my place for the night unless you want to go out and do something. It's up to you."

"I think I just want to stay in and watch movies. I just want to spend time with you tonight. Besides I'm not in the mood to go out tonight."

"That's awesome." Brian smiled.

I smiled and looked out the window. Tonight was something I needed to get my mind off of what had happened earlier today. I once again sighed and rested my head on the back of my seat.

Brian began telling me about all the things he was doing in the studio and I honestly really had no idea what he was talking about most of the time. I wasn't familiar with all this studio and music stuff.

"Tonight's all about you babe. And I'm sorry about last night but you know me. I'm a busy, busy man."

I chuckled and took out my phone.

**

"No, no please Brian. Don't go. You said you we're going to stay in tonight." I whined.

"I'm sorry, Rei but this is important. I promise I'll be like ten, fifteen minutes and then I promise I'll stay in when I get back. You want anything?" he said and walked out the door.

I shook my head. I groaned and slumped down on the couch. Brian had better come back when he said he was coming back. I hated it when he left me hanging. I know he's in a band and I knew what I was getting myself into but now it was starting to get to me with him constantly being gone.

I went through the DVDs he left on the coffee table that we were supposed to watch. Really? He wanted to watch either Silence of the Lambs, Jacob's Ladder, or The Shining? These were movies I wasn't a fan of. I got off the couch and settled on Jacob's Ladder. I wasn't a fan of horror movies or pretty much any movies. I don't even know when the last time I was able to sit through a whole me. I'd either fall asleep or pretty much just go and do my own thing.

The phone rang and I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Rei. Where's Brian?"

It was Matt.

"He already left for the studio. He should be there soon."

"Did Fred call him or something?"

"No, he told me you called and wanted him to go over a few things."

"No, I didn't call him."

"Um, okay but I'm gonna go. I need to have a little talk with him."

Matt hung up the phone and I sat back down on the couch. Brian was such a liar. I got up from the couch and looked out the window, his car was still here. Just when I thought things were getting better between us, Brian lies to me. I tried calling his phone a couple of times but he never answered, typical Brian.
