Stanley Barber's frequent client, turned friend, Faye is about to embark on some 'cool shit' when she finds out that Stanley's neighbour may have superpowers.

FAYE WAS LIKE A GHOST AT WESTINGHOUSE HIGH SCHOOL, her presence was felt but no one really knew she existed. she wasn't sure how, but she managed to slip beneath everyone's radar, enough to avoid name calling and parking lot fights after school—not that those situations ever really arose in the higher grades, only the youngsters who deemed it fun to pick on the weaker—and enough to be thought of as the new kid every time she walked into a room in the building.
Stanley Barber, however, was the first to take notice of her. and, initially, she wasn't sure if she liked that—being so used to being irrelevant to the world and all—it scared her knowing that a pair of eyes, now, when scanning a room, would acknowledge her. but another part of her felt warm in being noticed. she felt less alone. it didn't take long before they bonded over 'bloodwitch' and sexuality, and Stanley's favourite topic: 'deepest, darkest secrets'. Faye didn't have much to tell when Stanley asked, so she thought, talking about her inner-thoughts. and considering no one could read her mind, and therefore didn't have to tell Stanley anything, she wasn't sure exactly why she was, in fact, spilling her guts. Stanley, themself, felt somewhat privileged that she, of all the people they had asked the question to, chose to answer with truth and not a slurring remark of how 'weird' Stanley was.
Faye felt safe; less self-conscious, and felt strangely like a new person. all in the span of a couple of hours. Stanley had that effect on people.
And so when Stanley went to Faye for help towards Sydney's superpowers, she finds herself embarking on some 'cool, scary and soppy shit'.
