Chapter 6

Later That Night, I snuck out once again.

The moon light lit up my path, I walked down to the beach and sat down on the wet sand.

I hugged My knees and stared at the waves in a distance.

My eyes settled on a tail, probably some wale or a fish, I thought.

My eyes concentrated on the tail, it seemed to move closer in My direction.

I got scared and backed away quickly.

I hid behind a palm tree as it got close to shore. My breathing slowed down as Something Or Someone came out the water.

The moon clearly made it visible.

A quiet gasp escaped my lips, it was Jake coming out of the water. He had

A tail, a big fat fish tail.

He was one of them, He was a...merman.

The question now was.

Was I one of them too?

I sighed as he left, Now I really wanted to know.

"Olive, Is that you?" Jakes voice came from behind me. I turned around and met Jakes blue eyes.

"Uhm yeah." I mumbled and Looked away. "What are you doing out here?" He asked, " I was just taking a walk." I say while looking over at my house.

"This late?" He eyes me suspiciously, "Yeah, I Like the Breeze and moon light." I admit happily.

"Okay, You Should Head Home, its really dangerous out here." He looks away quickly. "Alright, I'll take your advice." I laugh, and Walk away from him.

"haha Bye olive." He walks in the other direction.

I look back at him and soon I run home.

By this time I didn't care if she heard me, I just climbed back up to my room and closed the window shut.

Tomorrow, I was finally gonna go Swim. Even though I had to go to that stupid school.

I laid in bed awake until the sun rose up high in the sky.

"sweetie wake up! Its time for school!" Aunt yelled.

"I've been awake." I mutter and begin to change.

A loud yawn escapes my lips as I head down to the kitchen. "Eat breakfast quickly." She snaps.

"Geez Someone didn't get laid last night." I mumble beneath my breath.

"lets go." she grabs her keys quickly and hands me my new school backpack.

The whole car ride was silent, So silent That I nearly fell asleep.

I now really regret not sleeping at all.

Soon The school came into view and I did a smug look. "I'll pick you up at three!" she yells as I walk off.

I give her a thumbs up and walk into the busy school halls.

This is going to be a long day, I thought.

"Ha Jess, Look at the nerd!!"

Yeah, a very dreadful long day.
