Y/n's pov:

When I wake up in the middle of the night I notice Bills sweatshirt over me.

I smile.

After a bit I look up to the lake and suddenly grow super scared. My heart pounds in my chest so hard it might explode. Then it gets worse a clown appears coming out of the water.

I scream so loud I'm pretty sure I woke up all of Derry.

Bill wakes up and I cower into his arms. He place them around me in a comforting way.

"W-What is it?" He asks concerned.

I look back to the lake. My heart still pounding in my chest.

Nothings there.

"I-I think I might of just had a bad dream." I say staring at the empty water.

"Your ok now." He says with a soothing voice.

Soon I fall asleep again in his arms.

The next day

When I wake up, still in Bills arms, I question if what I saw yesterday was just in my head. It has to be.

But something just doesn't seem right. It was right there. And I've never imagined something like that before. Why would I imagine a fricking clown.

That's the only logical explanation though.

Thank god it's a Saturday. I've never understood when schools don't start a new year on a Monday. But now I'm great full.

Bill wakes up.

"H-hey." He says as we both sit up.

"Hey." I reply "Mind if I..." I gesture to his hoodie.

"N-no of course."

It's cold out here. Especially because I'm only in shorts and a tank top over my swimsuit.

So I put on his hoodie and appreciate the warmth.

As the others wake up Stan asks "Why did you scream last night?"

"Nothing." I say

"You sounded pretty terrified." Eddie adds.

"Just a dream." I reply.

Richie sits off to the side in silence. Its weird. Really weird.

"What's up Richie?" I ask.

"It would sound to crazy." He simply reply's "I just thought I saw something last night, but it was just my imagination."

I scoot over to him "What did you see?"

He swallows hard and waits a while staring out into the distance at the calm water and sunlight. After a bit he says "A clown."

My skin prickles and my hands shake. I can feel my self breathing heavily.

So heavy that I know the rest of them here it because Bill asks "Y-you ok." Scooting to me.

"I-I saw a clown too." I stare out to the water once more "That's the real reason I screamed."

I can see everyone's faces change and Richie gets up, walking over to the lake he pukes.

Bill pulls me toward him where he strokes my hair.

"Do you think it's what took your siblings?" Ben asks.

I hadn't even thought of that possibility yet.

Later

We decide we're gonna go down to the only cafe we have in this town but on our way there we here something in the trees followed by a scream.

"Bowers." I whisper.

We all hop off of our bike and run down to the barrens where we find a Bowers with his foot on a boys cheek.

I pick up a rock and throw it. It hits Bowers directly in the face.

"Nice hit." Stan whispers

Bowers, with a bloody nose, calls to me "Your suppose to be dead!"

I just smile a taunting smile. Bowers pick up a rock and throws it at me. Miss.

"Rock war!" I hear Richie call before getting smacked in the face with a rock.

Rocks fly over my head and passes my sides as the boy gets up and walks over to us.

Rock after rock hits Bowers, and his two friends, until they give up and leave.

I high five Stanley who's been beside me this whole time.

Looking over to the boy I ask "Whats your name?"

"Mike." He says

"I'm y/n."

He smiles "Thank god for your aim."

I laugh.

"We're going to the cafe if you wanna come with." Ben adds in.

Mike nods

Later

Once we're at the cafe I get some fries and a chocolate shake.

Dipping my fries in my shake I see the boys looking at me weird.

"What?" I put my fry, with some of my shake on it, in my mouth.

"You just dipped you fry in a milkshake." Richie says.

"Ya." I pause "It's not bad, you should try it."

I hold out my thing of fries to the middle of the table.

They all take out a fry and then dip it in their milkshakes.

"Wait. That's really good!" Richie says "I mean. I guess it's ok."

I laugh.

The others agree too.

Starting out of the window next to me I look at Derry. What a strange town.

Strange. I remember the clown in the water.

"What do you think." I pause struggling for the words "That clown wanted."

"You guys saw it too." Mike looks shocked.

I look back to the window not knowing what to say. There's a fricken clown in Derry.
