~Grace's P.O.V.~
I remember telling Garrett what happened. He ended up punching the wall and calling the police. I get off his bed and walk downstairs.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"Morning. Want a pancake?" he asked. I smiled and grabbed a plate as he set a heart shaped pancake in front of me. At least today was starting out nicely. Garrett came and sat down beside me. He kissed my cheek then started to eat.
"Do we have to film today?" I asked. He nodded.
"All day. We missed yesterday so we have to do a regular length of Sunday filming, then an extra five hours." Garrett explained. I finished my pancake rather quickly and decided to call Maia.
"Hello?"
"Hey Maia. Whatcha doin'?" I asked. There was a brief pause which probably meant she was thinking of an excuse.
"I'm babysitting my, um, little sister. Her name is, uh, Rosie. Yeah, Rosie." Maia stuttered.
"Nice try. What are you really doing?" I asked. Anoter pause. Come on Maia! Quit trying to lie to me!
"Fine. You got me. I'm visiting Garrett." she said.
"Lie. I'm at his house right now." I said.
"Fine! Grace, what is up with you? You won't tell anyone what you're upset about, but you want me to tell you everything! I'm sick of it! Call me back when you're ready to be my friend again." Maia said then hung up. I stared at my phone and felt my eyes start to water. I hit the end call button then fell on the couch and started to cry.
~Garrett's P.O.V.~
Do I hear crying? Again? I walked into the living room and found Grace curled up in a ball and crying on the couch. I sat down next to her.
"Grace, what's wrong?" I asked. It seems like all she does now is cry. But, when you know what she's been through, you understand.
"Maia." she says. What? What happened with Maia?
"What happened?" I asked.
"She said I'm not being a good friend." she cried.
"I'll go talk to Maia." I tell her. I kiss her head then get up to call Maia.
"Hey Garrett. What's up?" she asked.
"What's up?! Grace is on my couch crying, again, because you said she wasn't being a good friend! What is up with that Maia?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, Garrett! She was getting nosy and I was upset she wouldn't tell me, her best friend, what was happening." Maia said.
"She didn't tell you because she thought you wouldn't want to be friend with her anymore. And you did exactly what she was afraid of!" I said, really trying not to yell.
"I didn't know that." Maia whispered. "I'm just worried about her. I want to know what she's going through and now I feel like I destroyed our friendship."
"It's okay, Maia. Call Ross and come on over. Maybe Grace will tell you." I say.
"Okay. Bye." Maia said.
"Bye." I say. Then I hang up and walk back into the living room with Grace. "Maia says she's sorry." Grace just nodded. I wrapped my arms around her and she leaned against me. In five minutes, Maia and Ross will be here. I kissed her forehead as she fell asleep.
