CHAPTER 1: GIVE ME THAT COFFEE (Part 1)
Is this it? Is this the one that'll end my life?...
It's totally hard to maintain this year's school ranking, like the feeling that you're about to blow your mind the same as how the popcorns pop in the kettle.
Hi, I'm Uriel and welcome to my race against time. I'm already in 11th grade and I have so many questions in my mind right now. One of them is that how I'll survive this year and so on. Last week, a total of 5 school projects are preparing for my funeral, metaphorically speaking if I must say. I just wish I'm kidding right now, but there's no time to lose.
There's this one time that I had been accused of some 'accident' at the field, a file project from a student got wet and blames it all on me 'cause I'm the only one around. I swear it's not me! It was that darn sprinkler they thought were turned off.
So yeah, we all know how that will end. I got a detention plus a suspension for 2 days, I had to put an effort in making excuses to exclude the suspension and I nailed it 'cause they believed me somehow.
Anyway, there will be another ranking for this month so I have to finish those projects immediately! It's due is only 3 days away!
2 days before the ranking
Damn! It's already 8 in the morning! I have to miss my breakfast 'cause I can't start the day without my beloved coffee!! The coffee shop around here is quite far so I have to drive as fast as I can.
Of course, I know my speed limits...but I'll make an exception for that coffee!!! The first period starts at 9:30, so I better get my hopes up and pray for the line's not that long.
I have arrived for about 45 minutes 'cause of the slight traffic, that gives me another 45 minutes left! Here I am, opening the door to the coffee shop and....yes! In that very moment, there's no line of people there!
I'm about to order my favorite secret menu of mine, "THE URIEL EXPRESSO!!".
It's silly but it's not your typical coffee that you see from someone else. I'm not gonna tell what's in it though.
It takes about 10 minutes to prepare it so there's still enough time. By the time I got my coffee, I quickly drove off and headed to the campus.
I finally arrived to this horrible place, the room's on 5th floor so I had to make a run for it. There's no elevators as of the moment 'cause there's been a technical issue and it's been 2 weeks yet they still don't fix it. Pretty neat, huh? Broken elevators at a shitty campus like this one, there's no doubt.
Ha! I freaking nailed it! I made it in time!
I have to keep this up before the ranking gets posted even if it's the last thing I do. I have my reasons why I must be on top of this one, mainly because my family wants me to, and I'm enjoying it anyway so there's no pressure...not until these projects came into my life, just ugh.
- 11:30 A.M. -
I survived the first 2 periods today, gonna call my best friend Precious.
