"Rise and shine, mistake." I groaned when someone shook me. Leave me alone. I just want to sleep. Is what I wanted to say, but I was smarter than that. I knew better than to talk back to him.

I cry out in pain when something comes in contact with my ribs. I fall, more pain shooting up my side when I land on the hard, wooden floor. "You should've woken up when I told you to. Mom made breakfast. I suggest you stay up here, though. You and your fat ass would thank me one day." He said arrogantly. "Oh, and don't take too long getting ready. Your friend, or whatever you call it, is apparently coming to take you to school." He said before walking, more like strutting, out of my room.

I sighed and groaned as I tried to get up. I grabbed the side of my bed and hoisted myself up. I bit my lip to prevent myself from screaming. The pain was almost unbearable. I shook my head and stood up besides my bed, despite the pain.

'Haechan, what the fuck did you do?' I said in my head, I walk, I mean limp, towards my closet to grab clothes. "Blue ripped jeans. White t-shirt. Light grey hoodie. Perfect. " I said out loud as I grab the three items and limp to my connected bathroom. Getting dressed was absolute hell. Every time I raised my foot or my arm it felt like my rib cage was on fire. I got through it, though. I got through it like I always do. I slowly walked to go get my socks and shoes on.

Going down the stairs was harder than getting dressed because I had to act like I wasn't hurt. If mom or dad found out about what Haechan did, or does, it'll ruin their perfect vision for the son that had always been the favorite. If that happens, I don't know what he'll do to me... I don't want to find out either. I put on a smile and head towards the front door. "Mom! Dad! I'm going now!" I yell as I grab my bag that's right next to the door. I open the door and before I could walk out of the door my mom calls my name. "Sweetie, please be home before 6 tonight! We are eating out with your father's co.workers tonight. I'm going to wash and iron your suit before you get home. It's going to be hanging on your door. Don't be late! Bye Sweetie!" My mom says as I stand in the middle of the doorway. "Yes mom! I'll be back home before 5:30! I have practice tonight so I need to shower before! I'll see you later! Have a nice day! I love you!" I call out to her and I here a muffled "Love you too, sweetie." as I close the door.

I fish my phone out of my pocket and dial Johnny's number."Hi Hyuck? You ready?" I heard his raspy, deep voice through the phone. "Hi Hyung. Yeah, I'm ready. I'm outside." I say and look at my shoes. "Okay, I'm getting in my car now. And, Hyuck, how many times do I need to tell you to drop honorifics with me? You are like a baby brother to me. It makes me feel like an old man, Hyuck." He lectured through the phone. "Okay Hyu- I mean Johnny. You should focus on driving." I tell him. "Yeah, yeah. Be there in two." It came out bit muffled. "Okay, see you soon." I laugh, hang up the phone and walked to the end of the driveway. The streets were all muddy from yesterday's storm. It still smelled like rain, which I love.

I stood at the end of the driveway awkwardly as I waited for Johnny and his beat up little blue Mini. "You got ready quickly." Oh c'mon! I screamed in my head as I turn around to see my red-haired brother. "Yes. Thank you for waking me up." I try my hardest to not give attitude. "You're quite welcome fat ass." He said and took his place standing next to me.

"Did you hear from Chenle? Mom said he was gonna be home in 4 days." I told him. Usually I wouldn't start a conversation like this with him, but it didn't hurt to want to have a semi-okay conversation with him, right? "Yeah, he's excited to get back but he doesn't want to leave his friends, though." I'm surprised he actually answered, but then again, he is pretty fond of our baby brother.
