1. They're big fans of really bad jokes.

Like really, really bad jokes. And not just the Knock Knock joke master - it's all the boys. Liam's contribution of 'What do you get when you cross a pig and a cactus? A porky-pine' is almost as bad as Harry's 'What did Zero say to Eight? Nice belt'. Christ.

2. Liam's working on his fingering skills. You heard.

What dream would you like to fulfill?

L: Ooooh, I'm learning to play bass at the minute. I'd like to get really good at that.

3. Zayn is obsessed with sleep. Literally obsessed.

Describe your dream day off.

Z: It's no secret that I like my sleep - so just lots and lots of sleep! (He also reveals that his favourite place in the world is bed, and he likes to unwind by sleeping. Basically he just loves a bit of a kip.)

4. Harry loves a right good roast.

Describe your dream day off.

H: Sleeping in, Sunday roast with pals. (Pals, adorable. Basically if you give him a comfy bed and a glazed parsnip he's yours.)

5. They're all a bit soppy inside and believe in fate.

Liam, Zayn and Louis all admitted to believing that fate has a big part to play in things, while Harry said it depends in what context, and Niall said he'd never even thought about it. Of course he hasn't, little lamb.

6. Niall's been photographing his food, standard.

What was the last photo you took?

N: My dinner! Ha! (Now we just really want to know his filter preferences.)

7. Louis is now changing his name to Notorious T-O-M-M-O

What's on your personal playlist right now?

L: Biggie (Louis Louis Louis, can't you see, sometimes your sassy pants just hypnotise me.)

8. Liam quite fancies taking things into outerspace.

Is there anywhere you haven't been that you'd love to play a gig?

L: I'm going to say the moon. Let's do it! (If anyone can do it, it's 1D. Although we suspect this is just so that he can wear a Buzz Lightyear costume.)

9. 3/5 of them are obsessed with their phones.

Liam, Zayn and Louis all said that they couldn't live without their phones. Niall went for music and Harry opted for family. Told you these were extremely interesting.

10. Zayn is the Carrie Bradshaw of 1D and appreciates good shoes.

What's your favourite thing in your wardrobe right now?

Z: Erm, maybe some Dr Martens boots I've got. They're pretty cool.

11. They've given us a new playlist to get on our ipods.

Apart from Biggie from Louis, we should also be listening to Pharrell, Kanye, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar for Liam, rap and Jhene Aiko for Zayn, Eagles for Niall and Simon and Garfunkle and Jackson Browne for Harry. We'll probs stick to Midnight Memories but tah.

12. All of 'em are proper homebirds.

Every single one of them said their favourite place in the world is home with their family, so that's pretty adorable.

13. They bloody love what they do.

Niall, Louis and Liam said that the thing that makes them happiest is being on stage and doing their thang, while Harry and Zayn added that being One Direction means 'so much' and allows them to do what they love. We're not crying, honest.

14. Niall loves following you lot on Twitter.

Who do you follow on Twitter?

N: I'm into sport so I follow footballers and pundits - I like hearing their opinions. Same with the fans - I like seeing their feedback.
