"Taehyung, for the hundredth time you don't make assumptions so quickly." Jungkook rubbed his eyes.

"He was literally talking to himself in that room." He pointed with his hand upwards.

"Have you ever heard of a thing called a cellphone? It was created in the 1970s by Martin Coo-"

"Okay, okay. But I saw him leave his phone on the counter before he dashed away." Taehyung raised his arms in the air as a sign of frustration, for them to fall back to his sides after a few seconds.

"Your point?" Jungkook raised his eyebrows, expecting a logical answer from his distressed friend.

"Look, I don't know! That's the problem!" Jungkook sighed, "Look, man, I think you need a small break from Mason and everything. I'll talk to Chief for a few days off for you." He got up and walked to the door.

"I'm absolutely fine," Taehyung muttered.

Jungkook's steps came to halt and his form turned around, "Look, I'm not so much of a fan of him either. He was flirting with my girlfriend and wasn't even being subtle about it. But you are trying to guilt him with irrational assumptions that you just caught at the wrong time. Just chill, man. You know I'd always be on your side if there was something wrong." Taehyung nodded in defeat, "Fine." As plopped down on his chair, turning his back to Jungkook. The male sighed and exited the room.

It was afternoon as Jungkook was laying on his girlfriend's bed at her place.

"Jungkook, have you seen the files that were here, on my desk?" Chloe looked around for the papers. Jungkook shook his head with his eyes on the phone, "No, baby. Was it something important?"

Chloe hummed nibbling on her lower lip, "It was about my next case. It had really important information in it. If it gets to bad hands, everything could go downhill." Jungkook shrugged, "Maybe you left it at work?"

"No, Jungkook, it was right here. I remember putting it here a few hours before the guests have arrived yesterday and then went downstairs to prepare everything."

"I'm sure you'll find it somewhere. C'mon, it's late. You need to rest." Chloe sighed and pumped a few drops from the body cream beside her bed, rubbing it in her hands to moisturize her dried skin.

Cheekiness came over her worried expression at the sight of her boyfriend feeling him comfortable on her bed, "I'm starting to think you moved in here without informing me about it." Jungkook grinned, "I don't like being in the big house all alone. It's cold and lonely. And why should I when I have you anyway?" Chloe chuckled, "So you use me as a company? How cruel."

Jungkook leaned in to steal a kiss, in which Chloe didn't protest a little bit.

"Don't you think we should start from the new page? I'm fed up with everything already."
