Eternity

The memories almost tangible.
The time we once spent,
together under a million stars.
We didn't say much then,
we didn't have to.
Just lay in our embrace,
like it was the last night we had.
We lay till dawn,
unaware of what the day had to unfold.
But too soon,
it was time.
Eternity with him was too short.
Soon,
the memories will start to fade,
leaving me nothing to live by.
Each time a memory escapes,
it takes a part of me along.
The angel of death couldn't resist,
to a place beyond forever,
you left.
Now, I wait,
for the angel to take me along.
To you,
to a place beyond forever,
to a place beyond love,
somewhere beyond eternity.
