Jason Todd is a Jerk

"Why are we doing this again?" Bart whined.

Jaimie just rolled his eyes "It's to pay our respects. Today is the anniversary that one of the heroes fell. The whole team comes down here to remember him. And that means you too!"

Bart huffed and kept walking. "About half these guys don't stay dead anyway..." he muttered.

When they walked inside Bart was surprised to see not only the team was there, but many of the Leaguers. Bart leaned over to Jaimie "Who was this guy anyway?"

"Over here..." Jaimie led Bart through the somber crowd up to a statue of a boy wearing a Robin costume. Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing, and the current Robin were all standing around it. "His name was..."

"Jason Todd." Bart interrupted glaring up at the statue "You people made a memorial for Jason freaking Todd?!" everyone in the room turned to him and glared "Sorry but he might have been an ok Robin, but he is a total jerk later in life!"

Batman walked up to him. If looks could kill, Bart would be a pile of ash. "My son is dead, how dare you talk about him that way..."

Bart gapped up at the statue "You mean he really did die? Wow... I thought he had just made that up to mess with me..." he saw Batman was still glaring at him "Oh sorry, I should probably mention that I know Jason in the future."

Everyone's eyes widened "How is that possible?" Dick asked.

"Well since he wasn't lying," Bart continued "A few years after he was killed, he gets brought back to life by Ra's al Gul. Only he is a total jerk afterward!" everyone in the room glared at him again "Ok I should probably stop saying that... what I mean is, he becomes an antihero and kills any bad guys he comes across. He eventually becomes a bit better, but for a while, he really hated your guts." He turned back to Batman.

"Why should we believe any of this?" Barbara asked.

Tim elbowed her "Be nice, he might be telling the truth."

Batman looked down at him "You said Jason becomes an antihero, what is his name?"

Bart gulped "He calls himself the Red Hood."

Only Bart could see what happened next, Batman smiled! He then turned and left the room. "He's telling the truth. Jason isn't dead." And sure enough, a few months later a mysterious figure shows up in Gotham, calling himself the Red Hood...
