chapter 1

"Kim,go fix all the beds,tomorrow is a big day!" Mrs.Green yelled. She is the person in charge of the orphanage. And by big day,she means parents looking for a child that matches what they like. I have been here since I was six,and never got adopted. And tomorrow I'm turning fifteen. I know,I'm not a like able person. I went to where all of us kids sleep. Around forty beds. A lot of us have to share. I grabbed a basket and grabbed the pillows and sheet,covers and put them in it. I did that to at least twenty beds. Now time to wash them. There about four washers. I put them in each. There now I just need to wait. While waiting I saw Lisa walking towards me. She is the same age when I came to the orphanage. But she came when she was just a year old. Her mom,dad,and brother died in an accident. They were just going for a ride to the park and there car got stuck on train rail things. They were trying to get out,but it was to late. Lisa wasn't with them that time. She was at her aunts house,getting ready to go to the park. Lisa has brown hair that's always down and in waves. Her teeth are a bit crooked,bright big hazel eyes that always sparkle. She is a bit taller than where my knees are. She's like a little sister to me, when she came I took care of her,protected her. We're a package. Where I go,she goes. "What are you doing?" She asked with her small little voice,and smile. "Washing stuff." I said while smiling back and set her down on my lap. She hugged me. "Are you excited for tomorrow?" I asked. She shakes her head. It's her first time doing this. "Why?" I asked. "I don't want you to leave." She said while looking at me in my eyes. "What? I'm never going to leave. I promise." I said. If anything I know someone is going to adopt Lisa. Who wouldn't,she's adorable and such a nice,little girl. And if anything,I'm worried for her. When someone chooses her I know she's going to be heartbroken. I was there all he life. And she will have a family. I hope they're going to be nice to her.

After cleaning the whole house and taking breaks playing with Lisa. It was night time. I was in my bed. Thinking about tomorrow. Then I heard a small voice. "Can I lay beside you?" Lisa asked. "Sure." I said. She crawled onto the bed and under the covers. She's probably scared about tomorrow when she shouldn't be.

It's been like three hours and I still can't sleep. I need something to be busy. I decided to look for something to wear tomorrow. We all had our stuff packed. I was looking through my luggage. There was a dress. Blue with a belt where the waist goes. But it wasn't for me. It was the size of Lisa. It was really nice. Maybe she can wear it. I lad it down on the dresser beside our bed. There were shoes that fit Lisa also, they were black dressy ones. I also found a light blue bow. I'm so glad I saved all the stuff since I came here. I could let her use it. In fact let her have it along with all the close that don't fit me. I put all of the close that didn't fit me into a different luggage and put it where Lisa's stuff was. Except for the stuff I picked out. Those were on the dresser waiting for her.
