There was nothing more I hated than the thought of humans. Flashbacks of my discussion with My grandfather echoes in my mind as I open the door to my room.

Throwing my weight onto my bed, I give out a quiet sigh sinking softly into its warm embrace. As much as I disliked Humans, the fact that I had to leave my pack worried me deeply ; there has been a message of a rougher by the name Cane who was causing huge commotion. I knew that this was my chance to kill him off before he caused anymore trouble.

For the past few weeks or so, there had been mysterious killings and accidents happening at the east and west, targeting the strongest terrotiaries and I knew mine was next.

My meeting with my grandfather and  nearby packs was that I would find that killer before he kills off the rest of their pack and toke over their land;we had this meeting in many occasions and had decided to take action at this point. I knew he would be targesting my pack since we were the top of all the others and to stop that from processing any further, I had to leave by tomorrow morning.

It has been a long day and I was tired. I close my eyes allowing the feeling of sleepiness to hover over me.

I could feel a hot heat radiating onto my face. Opening my eyes, I slowly pulled myself up as I sit on my bed before heading to the bathroom.

I was in the middle of brushing my teeth as I hear a gentle knock on the door. Risening my teeth, I grab a white towel next to me, wiping my mouth before heading out.

I opened the door, a sweet morning smile places on Jane's glowing face.
" Morning Omar" she greets,as I step aside for her to enter, " I figured out you'd like to have breakfast in your room"

I gave her a warm smile and walk towards my bed.

" I can't believe my little boys already a full grown man" she said placing down the tary.

I roll my eyes playfully at her. She chuckled as she looked over at me.

" I will miss you" she gave a sigh as she leans over at me, giving me a warm hug.

" I'll be back sooner than you even know" I said reassuring her

She nooded to my words," enough of me, I'll leave you to it then" she said before exiting my room.

Jane was like a mother to me. When my mother and father died, she was the only one who stuck close to me with her comforting words. Even with my memory lost from when I was a child, she was there as I struggled to learn to cope with it. There wasn't one part of my life that you wouldnt find Jane; she was always there. The toughest and roughest part of my life she would stay by my side and made sure that I was okay.

I knew that me leaving would cause her to worry since she was super alert that nothing bad happened to me.

I pace down the long stairs, munching onto the last bits of my creamy dounut. I enter the living room and find Jane, kai - her so-and my grandfather all gathered together.

I look over at kai with a questionable stare. My grandfather looks at Jane before speaking.

" We've all agreed that Kai would be  coming with you as your guard since he's your Beta"

My eyes wonder to Jane. She must have suggested that jai should come with me and I knew that my grandfather would agree since both of them was as worried for my safety.

" Omar " my grandfather says, " Being in the human world is just as risky as anywhere else and I hope you understand our intentions"

I enhale before gazing at Kai who stares at me hopefully with his emarld green eyes.

" Shall we head off then Kai" I say, I could feel their smiles behind me as I agreed to let Kai tag along with me.

fresh air hit our skins as we walk towards a white bugatti Centodieci with two men in black suit. One opens the door as he gestures for me to Kai and I to enter.

The journey was going to be long. From here to Chicago, it would take as about 2 - 3 hours dive. I take out my laptop as I begin to do some work which was business related.

After 2 hours, we had reach our destination I slide down the window, allowing myself to take a glance at the wonderful outside.

The wind was lushing at the trees as the cool autumn breeze blow against my skin. Ivy and ferns grew through the crevices of the old winding stone path, which led directly to the colossal structure. The mansion looming proudly behind creaky iron gates, flanked by rows of skeletal trees crowned in crimson, swaying gently to the chilly autumn wind. At its threshold stood the delicate marble fountain, the soft gurgling of the clear water melodic as it resonated in the surrounding silence.

The car door was opened for me, as I step out into the fresh breeze. Buttoning my suit and adjusting myself, I took a clear view of my surroundings.

My aunt Charlotte and her husband aswell as other family members which I knew were all standing in front of the building awaiting for my arrival.

Within seconds, small hands were wrapped around me as I kneel down to her height. I gave the little girl a hug in return as I pat her brown hair.

" I missed you uncle" she beams in excitement as she kisses me on the cheek. I giggled at how cute she was as I lift her up into my arms. Walking towards the rest, I signalled to Kai to follow me.

My aunt Charlotte smiles at me, giving me a kiss on the cheek. I looked over to her husband giving him a hug before greeting all of my cousins.

" You haven't changed a bit" My cousin Liam pouches me lightly in the chest.

" Hey" Brielle says, burying her head into my chest "don't hit uncle"

He rolls his eyes, " So now your on his side"

" Let's go in everyone" Uncle Mark adds, " we don't want to be standing outside all day do we"

Kai was downstairs with my cousins as Mark decided to show me to my room. He was my mom's closet friend back in the days before getting married to her sister and had a strong connection with my family.

He grabs the door knob as the door swings open. The was nice and not too overwhelming, just as I wanted it.

" I've found some information on the rougher" he informs me, " He is lives in on the neighbourhood and just a few miles from here"

" I see"

" He seems to be living his life just like any other human and studying at a school just round the corner" he continues, " I've filled in and contacted the school telling them that you'd be attending there for sometime. It will help you navigate his everymove and quicken the process."

I understood his everyword and his intentions. I agree with him. Attending that school and pretending to be a student there would get me closer to him.
