Wrong Thought - Aunt Lily

ANNE'S POV

I was starring at the trains window, watching trees come and go. I was with my sister Mae with eyes and nose still red from crying, why? Our parents just got buried today were on our way to our aunt's (the sister of my father) house the only relative we had left, we visited her just last month i didn't know why she didn't make it to my parents burial. My name is Anne Velasquez i am still just 18 now that my parents left me and my only sister Mae Velasquez. Our parents died because of a fire, we didn't know what caused it but all we knew was that the door was blocked with fire while it was spreading all over our house that's why they couldn't get out and died.Me and Mae wasn't involved when the incident happened because we were still at school. The school hasn't ended when someone called us and said that our parents were already dead. The picture of my parents burned bodies got stuck on my head like a nightmare that i can't get out of my head. The train stopped i looked at Mae and woke her up for she has fallen asleep on the road. I took our stuffs, held Mae's hand and started walking inside the forest where the subdivision of my aunt's can be found. The subdivision is actually quite huge to be a subdivision! It still amazes us oh how beautiful it is everytime we visit here. The moment we got to aunt lily's i was just about to knock when the door creaked opened and there i saw our aunt lily standing she tilted her head then smiled that kinda creeped me out.

“Oh? You must be my niece Anne Velasquez and little cutie Mae!, the DSWD agency just called me yesterday that you will be staying with me for a while”My aunt said still smiling.

“Are you okay aunt lily? The last time we met was last month remember?” i asked her suspiciously and weirdly for we just met up with her last month and she acts as if we hasn't seen each other for a long time or not at all.

“Plus why didn't you go at our parents burial aunt lily?” Mae asked while tagging my coat

“O-oh is that s-so? Oh my i must have been growing old, w-well about your p-parents well i didn't know they died i wasn't informed” aunt lily said to me stuttering and started to sweat that made me feel suspicious about her. Before i could ask her that if she didn't really know then why on earth didn't she asked why the DSWD agency sent us here someone called our attention from behind

"Hi aunt lily!! This must be your niece, hi my name is Athena, this is erica and lastly daisy”Athena said hyperly while pointing out and introducing her friends.

“Hiiiii!!!” Erica said smilingly waving at me
"yow" - said daisy who's completely chill

“Im pleased to meet you all, Im Anne by the way and this is my little sister Mae~" i shyly said and offered a hand and we all shooked on it.

" Well it was a pleasure to meet you too Anne, we'll be heading off now bye! "she said smilingly waving as they all go and all i can do was wave back.

"Those are the boarders i had yesterday such nice kids" aunt lily said and took something from her pockets

"Here's the keys to your room upstairs on the second floor room 08, you and mae enjoy your stay now And I'll be doing the dishes" aunt lily said then went off

We went inside and closed the door then went upstairs the moment we got to our room Mae laid facing lying on the bed while i started unpacking our stuffs. The moment i finished unpacking i checked on Mae who was already in a deep sleep, well i couldn't blame her its already dawn and she's tired from crying. I remembered how Mae strongly sobbed and still hugged our parents burned dead bodies and all i can do was sob and watch. Tears started to fall just by remembering that nightmare that keeps on playing on my mind. I went out to the balcony of the room to take a breath it was a beautiful scenery with relaxing cold breezes
