Hey, I'm Riley Cyrus and I'm 17 years old and I am the daughter of the alpha of the pack 'Silver Scar'. I have an older brother Ryan who will soon be the alpha of our pack. My mother died shortly after giving birth to me due to a heart attack. Ever since my mother's death, my father and brother have been extremely overprotective of me and I have been home schooled ever since.
I was pulled out of my thoughts, when I heard a knock at my door. I told the person to come in, and I saw Ryan enter my room.
"Hey sis, what are you doing?"
"What do you want, Ryan?" I said, clearly annoyed by his presence.
"Nothing, Dad wants you in his office"
"Okay, tell him I'll be there in a minute."
"Tell him yourself, Lazyass" And with that he left my room laughing his head off as he was well aware of how annoyed I get when he calls me names.
IN ALPHA ARTHUR'S OFFICE . . . .
I softly knock on the door and hear a "come in" from my father. I enter the office and see my father sitting behind his desk.

"Hi Dad, Ryan said that you wanted to talk to me."
"Ah yes, come take a seat." He motioned for me to take a seat on the couch near his desk.
"I know you are eager to start your new school but, you won't be able to go to school tomorrow" My heart dropped and my face went pale as I took in what he just said.
What? Why? He said that I could go to school like a normal person.
Hundreds of questions raced through my mind as he added ..
"You will have to start a little late like 3-4 days later from today."
I released the breath I didn't realise I was holding and agreed to start school a little late. Just as I was about to leave his office, he said,
"Oh and don't forget about the masquerade ball tonight, and there is a new bodyguard being assigned to you, who is outside waiting for you." I nodded thinking about the 2 hours I have to get ready for the ball and headed out the room to find a man a little older than me, waiting. As I approached him, he was looking at me, up and down. When he noticed me looking at him, he introduced himself.
"Hey, I'm Raul, your new personal bodyguard and you must be Ms. Riley, am I right?" I nodded, motioning him to follow.
As I entered my room, Raul stood guard outside. I walked in my closet and chose a beautiful blue gown for the ball.

I then took a nice shower, did my hair and makeup and saw that I had 30 minutes until we left for the ball.

I checked for everything before I wore my dress and found out that I had left my mom's necklace in the shower so I rushed in and wore it as it was the last thing she left me before she died.

As I started wearing my dress, I had trouble zipping it up. After many tries, I was about to call Ryan for help when I suddenly felt a hand on my back. I quickly looked up in the mirror to find Raul standing behind me with a creepy smirk on his face.
"Wha-what a-are you d-doing?", I said, starting to get really uncomfortable as his hand traveled up and down my bare back.
"G-get your h-hands o-off of me!" I exclaimed.Then suddenly a man dressed in black with a mask over his face came in. He grabbed Raul by the collar and started beating him up till he was dead. He looked at me with his icy blue eyes then ran out of the room before I could thank him or ask who he was. What is happening?Why did I feel a connection with that man? Who was he? Why was he here?Questions were running through my mind until I heard a knock on my door."Are you ready sis?"Ryan asked, as he entered my room. As soon as he saw Raul unconscious on the floor he freaked out.
"What the hell happened here!?" he growled.
Should i tell him about the man with the mask?No,he will freak out.
"I-i don't know i was in the bathroom a-and when i came out he was lying there, d-dead" i said.
He took a deep breath and said "Are you ok?".
I sighed and said "Y-yeah i'm fine".
"I'll call someone to get rid of Raul's body." he said and I nodded and headed down to the Hallway.
