Fearbringer watched from afar, a silver egg rustling inside it's nest. The egg kept rustling for minutes on end, until finally cracking down the middle. Two figures argued next to the egg, one waving his ice white talons, the other suggesting names. "Darkstalker! We're naming him Darkstalker, and you aren't changing that, Arctic." One of the figures said, ending the argument. The now-hatched dragonet sat in it's nest, next to a ebony egg, which had not hatched.
The figure who had won the argument picked up the dragonet and stormed off into a doorway out of sight, with the ice white figure following. Fearbringer stopped watching, knowing exactly what will happen to the dragonet. Hmm. If i'm thinking correctly, we'll become friends. A perfect pair, almost brothers. He thought as stepped inside his house, waving the soft-textured curtain aside. Of course, that will happen once hes old enough to enter school in a year or two.
"Fear!" A familiar voice yelled from the kitchen. "Yes, mother?" Fearbringer replied as he stepped into the dimly-lit kitchen. "Don't you have other stuff you can do other than stalking?" Fearbringer's mother, Lightstrike, said. "Yes... Of course." Fearbringer replied, grabbing a faded green satchel off the chiseled-stone kitchen island. He made a beeline for the front entryway, pushing the faded-red curtain aside.
He stepped into the night, feeling a slight windchill. The darkness was illuminated by the slightly-lit houses of the NightWing tribe, delicately carved into the canyons and rocks. The houses provided enough light to see where Fearbringer was walking, yet not too much light, making the canyon look beautiful in the night. He took off from the trail, aiming for the forest slightly north of the city.
Fearbringer spotted a large, sturdy-looking tree. He changed his course to aim for it, landing on one of the very sturdy branches. Perched on the branch, he made himself comfortable and looked down into the canyons, more specifically at the house which had the silver egg.
We shall be friends, Darkstalker. You should know that, too.
