The low purr of baby's engine echoes through the quiet streets as the boys continue on their trek toward Atlanta. Sam gets a weird feeling the turns to Dean. "What the hell is going on...?" He says, as Dean shrugs his shoulders, his hands gently gripped on the steering wheel. He takes a deep breath, surveying the area with a quick glance.
"I have no idea... but I have a bad feeling about it Sammy..."
In the distance, Atlanta can begin to be seen. But somethings off about it. No lights in the buildings, no movement, and billows of smoke rising from countless areas. The roads leading to the city are scattered with rubble, broken down cars, and...
Blood
Dean lets his foot off of the gas pedal gently as they turn into a driveway of a house. The garage seemingly sturdy and safe, and empty, all besides a few toolboxes and a small white mini fridge on the back wall. Dean pulls Baby in, stopping once she's fully inside. He shuts off the car, stepping out and turning toward the double walled metal garage door in front of him. He looks to Sam as he gets out of the car, nodding to him.
They head toward the garage door, exiting the small garage, Dean giving the car a hug and a kiss to its glossy exterior. "I'll be back for you Baby" he says, sighing deeply. Dean heads over to the garage door on the inside of the structure. Checking the lock. It's locked. Good. He places a zip tie from the tool box beside him on the handle, making sure NOBODY gets near his beloved car.
They step outside of the garage, grabbing the garage door. Sliding it shut, they lock it, ensuring that their car will be okay through anything. Dean wipes a tear from his eye, sniffling. "Hopefully this isn't as serious as it sounds." He says, sighing as he turns toward Sam.
Sam sighs. "I hope it isn't either. From the broadcast it sounded pretty bad.." he says, looking around.
"Where is everyone? I thought they were supposed to stay in their houses, but there's no cars or people anywhere...." he says as he leans against the garage.
A loud crash happens across the street. The boys jump, quickly diverting their attention over there. A man shuffles toward a house, his left leg dragging ever so slightly, making his balance off. The boys stand there, watching.
The man smells the air, his attention turning to the boys. Dean looks at Sam nervous. "W-what the hell...?!?" He says as the mans face is bloody and damaged. He being to shuffle toward the boys, his hands outstretched as he approaches. Dean quickly pulls his pistol out of his bag, holding it up toward the man. "Buddy, don't come any closer." He says, his finger resting on the trigger.
The man gets to the center of the street, and Dean sees what's wrong. He's not a man, or he was a man. And this isn't a normal hunt they're dealing with. It's...
