Chapter 19

****** 1 week later *********

Bre POV

Today was the day of the funeral, the family has been straight dead since King died. Nobody said nothing and I mean nothing not even Slim I tried my best talking too him but no response and it's made when you have two kids constantly asking what's wrong with daddy why want why want he talk too us and so and so on! We were still at Cherry 's house getting ready to go and I walked into the room to find slim looking on the bed on the phone. I was shocked, he can talk on the phone but can't talk to his wife??? 

"Yea, were getting ready to leave now so see you when we get their." He said like he's been crying then he hung the phone up.

"Who was that baby? " I asked rubbing his back.

"That night while I was driving King to the hospital, he told me that he had a child." He said hugging my waist.

King has a child? Naw Now.

"The girl name is Arianna and their son name is Rashad. She didn't even know anything about King having cancer because when he was around her she acted like the same ole King happy as ever." Slim said then he begin to cry, " I still can't believe he's gone baby!"

I rubbed his back it was sad to slim answer Cherry cry I can only imagine how momma pie taking it.

After he was done crying it was time for us to go and the whole ride their was silence nothing but sniffles coming from momma pie, her whole face was just red like a tomato! It was too much sadness around and I know the kids would've made it even worser by asking where's uncle King and stuff so I had to leave them with jazz since she don't do funerals.

When we got to the church Boss was already their waiting on us and he looked like King didn't even pass away.

"Why yo husband got on shades and it ain't no sun out it's cloudy? " boss whispered into my ear and looked him up and down he had on a black and white suite with all black Jordan's.

"Don't about my man." I said laughing.

We all took our seats waiting for the funeral to start.

Slim POV

I was half away asleep, these old preachers make the funeral make it longer than it pose to be. King probably came back alive and died again as long as this man been talking.  Tt pie and Cherry  didn't even stay in here long I shouldve left with them  while we were viewing the body, Cherry stopped in looked at King and slapped him talking about "wake up King I know you ain't dead you always playing get up! Your making a fool of yourself, playing these folks like you dead. " So pie had to escort her out because she was getting a lil bit too carried away.

"Steven" I heard the pastor say bringing me out of my thoughts.

"You have any last words to say? " he asked and I shook my head no.

"Boy get yo high looking self up their and say something. " Boss said taking my shades off.

I had the shades on for two reason, 1. I was crying and my eyes looked swollen. 2. I'm high and my eyes are bloodshot red.

I walked up their and I all eyes were on me, usually I would say I feel like the man walking thru but I felt scared and not ever I have felt scared in my life except when I was about to get married. 

"King was more than just a close cousin too me, he was like a brother to me you know the ones that gets on yo nerves Yea that was King, but you will never see King not smiling he would smile through it all no matter what King was smiling like nothing happened. Is it bad to say that I don't believe he's gone? Because you would never thing somebody that is so kind hearted can be taken away from you just like that! King was a good at pulling pranks for all we know he could be pulling one now. The last sentence that King said to me was, look out for my baby mama and child! Nobody never knew anything about that King having a child or cancer, now I can see that he is good at keeping secrets he kept them for 2 years." I step down from the pull pit and looked at King, I walked over and begin to shake him constantly. "King, wake up! Boy we all know you sleep you ain't fooling nobody this time. We ain't falling for it King wake up it's over! " I said I start to cry uncontrollable I couldn't stop the tears they were coming non stop.

"Come on slim let's go. " I heard boss said to me.

"Why want he wake up Boss? " I asked.

"Come on slim people are began to whisper about you." Bre said.

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE ALL THEM MOTHERFUCKAS FAKE HELL! WHERE WERE THEY WHEN KING WAS GOING BACK IN FORTH TO THE HOSPITAL? AIN'T NOBODY CARED FOR KING BUT HIS FAMILY FUCK WHAT THEY THINK." I yelled, tears coming more and more. Why want the tears stop?

"He's gone slim, he's gone and not coming back let's just go! " I heard a female say I turn around to look at her she was holding a little boy  that was crying. I'm guessing this is Arianna and Rashad.

"Why did God have take him? First he took my momma and now King, who else is next? " I said looking around. "

"Don't look at me, Ian going Jo where Bruh. " boss said.

I stood up and hugged my wife I hugged her and never let her go I hope God dosent take her away from me because She's all that matter her and my 3 kids. All of us walked out the church together , all I want to do is just get in bed and hug my wife and kids and tell them how much they mean to me before it's too late.
